The greater frequency/regularity of those did seem to start around the pandemic era with Earthrise, so it may have been spacing out production more and maximizing available tooling and packaging. It's likely continued because that has been helpful, and likely will keep being used to fill gaps...
That's PERFECT. Wish that would get mass produced. (It's on Cults3D for €2 apparently.)
I remember also seeing some alt head and arm parts for the SS86 Deluxe that emulate the G1 toy more fully. Both would make excellent kits.
I welcome SOME detailing. There's a sweet spot for it, like most of the UT toys show. Enough visual space with some busy bits lets the detailing stand out to be visually appealing, rather than filling every millimeter with lines for its own sake like a Frank Milkovich drawing.
Big and greebly does at least allow for the greebling to be more spread out. But either way there's a way to do it that doesn't make them look like giant fingerprints.
A subtle thing they did with Armada was have the Decepticons be more greebled and the Autobots be a bit smoother, but the...
A lot of S3 music emulates the DiCola soundtrack feel, right down to reusing some of the same melodies. Can't think of specific matches right now but they're there.
Also, I'm not on a device that can download, but maybe TFCog has the track...
The leaks of the past few days don't seem to be over yet. Allsparker CoffeeHorse was somehow added to an internal Hasbro TF team group discussion and came away with an incredible bit of news to release just under the wire.

Know that I shall buy Razorclaw. Been holding out for that, glad to see it. Wish a Euro Skyquake or MW Starscream would follow.
A standalone Prime Cliffjjumper release, hmm. Terrorcon? If it's a straight reuse of the 4pack, I'm in.
Speaking of 4packs, wish we'd hear about the rest of the one...
A solo Hound, but still a likely exclusive in a capsule. Gonna be enjoyable to hear the whining about THAT.
Glad they're finally getting around to what might be a package refresh of Hot Rod, or really any return of that main mold to retail. Toy colors? Cel-shaded with no clear plastic? I'm...
I was always doomed to shrug at this and pass on it, as with most Masterpieces, due to budget alone.
But so much about it has me shrugging at it BEING a Masterpiece, because this would be far more interesting as a mainline release -- and feels a lot like one anyway.
Death, taxes, Optimus Prime. Takara Tomy have officially announced a new entry into their MPG series, and you'll never guess who it is!
MPG-17 is Optimus Prime "Style Gen.", apparently kicking off a new "Style Gen." subseries in the MPG line:
Yup, the classic Big Good of the Autobot ranks...
