    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Kirk (in TOS) explicitly says he only met Pike once, when he took command of Enterprise. I know we're in the post-continuity era of Trek, but I feel that's too big a step out of established canon.

    The Orville

Yeah, the Union seems to know far less about temporal dynamics than the 24th century Federation, so they're playing it arguably way too safe. Given the earlier comment from Lamar about temporal paradoxes creating new timelines, we might be looking at the start of this show's "mirror" universe...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

As I've been saying since it came out, Armada Sideswipe is just one or two design revisions away from a really good toy (and taking out his spring-loaded gimmicks would go a long way to freeing up that parts budget). I'll also point out that Armada Demolishor is still sitting on my shelf. The...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I can't remember if it was said outright, but DS9 at least implied that relations with the Gorn had become friendly by the 24th century; Kasidy Yates' brother lived on Cestus III, where there's a thriving baseball franchise (the Pike City Pioneers). The novels capitalized on this to suggest...

IIRC it actually started with Obama; there was a whole thing when his motorcade got upgraded early in his presidency.

There are also a bunch of minor events buried as plot points or throwaway lines: 303, 305 "The House of Quark" "Second Skin" (Business is down because of the Dominion threat.) 308 "Meridian" (Defiant pays a quick visit to the Gamma Quadrant, defying the Jem'Hadar.) 311 "Past Tense" (Defiant is...

    Star Trek General Discussion

I did this on the old forum and just stumbled across it in my old notes and thought it should be preserved here too: There are actually several distinct arcs running through DS9: The Bajoran reconstruction/religion: 101 "Emissary" (We see DS9 and Bajor in ruins, encounter the Orbs, the...

    Obi-Wan Kenobi - streaming on Disney+

Note that the timeline in this last ep was absolutely played with for pacing and dramatic effect; That's really the only real flaw of this series, I feel; the material is there, but it's all compressed to fit into six episodes when it really could've used at least twice as many.

I'm waiting to see if a dub comes along (since it's one of those shows where the characters are explicitly speaking English in-universe).

Maybe it's just the photography, but I like the mold better on Minerva than on Elita.
