Saw it this afternoon.
These actors work really well together. Sometimes you watch something and people are trying really hard to say their lines the right way, but they don't have any chemistry - these guys are a great mix. And David Harbour must have so much fun playing Red Guardian.
Fun...
Toyhax stickers are a gateway drug . . .
Laser Prime is done, minibots are done, G1 Prime is almost clean - stickers are off, I'm almost done cleaning the gunk from 40ish year old stickers . . . but I also bought some Molotow chrome markers, and now I've started looking at airbrush kits.
I...
Yes, it is - shoulder cannon swings up. The extra gun I have on his right shoulder is accurate to some pictures, but it gets in the way if I try to raise that arm. Keeps me from losing the part, though.
The shield looks great, too. In my "imaginaryverse," sometimes he'd digitally store himself...
Force 10, aka "Syntax" when I was growing up.
We had a Commodore 64, and I saw the word Syntax and thought it sounded cool. I guess he's a really well-armed communication specialist.
More Toyhax touch-ups.
Replaced the crooked factory-applied stickers on Keyjumper and Beechain, but nothing fancy on top of that.
One of those still seems slightly crooked, though, so it'd probably drive Ultra Magnus crazy.
Our local store is the one that's receiving the last of the leftovers from other sites, but it's not in great shape. The entrance is on the back side of a worn-out former mall, shelves are empty, and the they don't even have all the lights in the ceiling. I told my wife that one part of the...
I have one Robolinks set. Force 10, IIRC - got it for Christmas when I was a kid, and still have everything but the box.
It'd be awesome to see more of these.
Never really made bread before, not that I can remember.
I have been known to Dad-dance around in the kitchen while I'm working, though. Everyone else probably appreciates the headphones at that point.
Stickered-up Laser Optimus Prime. Partially Toyhax, partially the original stickers.
Now that I've done it - and now that I'm playing around a little with restoring/touching up some of my older figures - it's temping to buy that set again, so that I can take them off, tighten up his joints...
I spent some time yesterday and today putting things in frames and putting them up on the wall in my study - postcards from family trips and some art from when my daughters were little. We've never saved every last thing my daughters did, but I have some that've been up on my walls for years...
The different ideas around Ultra Magnus, Delta Magnus, etc. are fun to read.
I've been playing around with a Knights of Magnus idea, but haven't gotten very far with it yet.
It's funny how we look at these now and don't have any interest at all, but some of us are sentimental about the KOs and weird off-brand ones we played with growing up.
It'll end up on the list of things like "covfefe" and "maybe he could get a third term" and all the other things that were important until he said/did the next thing.
This is the first time I've ever played a game like this, so I'm still figuring lots of things out. The first night we were past the first room when I remembered I actually had a shield.
Do you guys use a virtual tabletop with your game on Discord?
