The shade of purple they're using REALLY doesn't like being photographed (I find a lot of the blues & purples they've been using lately tend to shift a lot with lighting). Hopefully these latest photos are more accurate to final toy.
Yeah, they wouldn't sell them separately. But would they actually be willing to do it as a Voyager? The only way it works as a Deluxe at retail today is if the body was smaller and the heads are the size of Spinister's targetmasters, which...would be less than ideal.
I'm still waiting for an Armada Sideways, though I feel it would need to be a Voyager to do the head/rider gimmick justice, though they seem to never do bikes as Voyagers (Other than the Junkions).
I'm almost there, most of the characters I want are non G1 now, so as long as they put out core Monstructor, ss86 Astrotrain & maybe a new Nightbeat, I can be content with G1 Generations.
It didn't need to be Studio Series both times, in that case. I'd be happy to see a toy deco in Selects, but with this release I'd say it's much less likely. This could have been what the first release looked like, and I doubt anyone would really be missing out on anything (ignoring for the...
I'm struggling with this new Perceptor, I appreciate the remolding and didn't get the first one, and like the stronger teal colour, but wish they had done this up as more of a toy deco. They couldn't at least use silver paint for the chrome bits?
Commander class seems to have mostly been taken up by "Autobot leaders" and "Combiner torsos" for the past little while, and seem to maybe continue as that, but there are a lot of other large characters that could use a Commander figure.
It actually looks really good with the earthrise trailer, I've got both the nonnef kit and the toyhax stickers on the trailer too. But I would still trade all that for the figure to be a voyager.
Hopefully if it's a new mold, it can capture the slightly more dynamic proportions of the animation (the Titans Return mold was a bit better for this, even if much of the rest of it was iffy). The Seige mold looks a lot better in those colours, but the back of the shuttle mode looks just awful...
I consider the Seige figure to be a fun figure, but somewhat flawed from the perspective of an Astrotrain fan. The mold is too short, the alt modes are a little compromised in a way that a new mold could probably do way better, & the deco is just DRAB. I expect his purple to be a bit brighter...
Yeah, the wolfpack torso shows up on pick a brick sometimes, but sells out immediately. I think there's a new wolfpack castle set coming from Ideas soon too, so they're coming back a bit?
