    HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Could be. I wonder if in that case they would've tried for something like Helbat (since Hela seems okay for Marvel to sell). Heckbat?

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion || update: stock renders of upcoming Alpha Trion, Micronus, Flatline, Fireflight, Skydive, ++

I didn't like TM2 Cybershark's grey and neon green look, but his original color scheme (blue, off-white, copper) has always been one of my favorite color schemes and I'd be interested in seeing it applied to the TM2/Sky-Byte molds, even if it's not technically the correct use. I might be alone...

    HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

$300's a bit steeper than I'd like but they're supposedly Voyager size components, and there's a lot I like about how this looks. I'm in! ('Killbison' and 'Deathcobra' are ok, but Hellbat has to be Ellbat? Must be a trademark concern rather than a "too violent" thing).

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

I definitely have the same feeling... so far the Skybound run's theme, overwhelmingly to me, seems to be "war is hell." We see the effects it has on everyone - Optimus struggles with bringing the conflict to a new fragile world, Cliffjumper hesitates in becoming a cold-blooded killer, Ultra...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

I must admit I'm a bit surprised at how Starscream was able to turn his situation around, figured he'd have to spend an issue or two at least enslaved by the guys who dug him up, but he could took care of them (and got his cadre of Decepticons back) no problemo. Finally took some time to catch...

Toys Age of the Primes Megatronus Behind the Scenes

Yeah the legs look a bit stubby, but still, gotta admit this makes a lot better impression on me than it did in the first pics. Think I might pick this up now.

Toys First Look At Voyager Age Of The Primes Red Alert

Maybe it's just the lack of something to compare for scale, but he looks kinda tiny. Thought it was a Deluxe at first. Though I suppose that may just be the way things are moving in general as they always do as costs rise...

Scrapper is 1 of 5 but Bonecrusher is 2 of 6 eh?

    Studio Series discussion

Yeah that's kinda where I'm at. On the fence and would prefer to wait, but waiting might not be an option (except waiting for a later gift set release or something). The overall aesthetic is closer to CW Devastator than I'd hoped. Long Haul will be the interesting one to see. Scrapper looks...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

Transformers #12 came out last week (9/11), surprised to not see any comments here yet especially since it wraps up the second arc. My thoughts: On re-read I did like it more than the first read, but I still do have some reservations.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Thanks. I was kinda wondering if the chest was supposed to be gunmetal but was looking at the other toys and concluded it was bronze (not taking the time to think that they might well be based off the same misconception). Weirdly it does sorta look a bit bronze to me still in some of those...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Was cautiously optimistic for G2 Breakdown even though I'm not a fan of the mold (especially how annoying the spoiler is in robot mode) but the end result looks pretty disappointing - dark purple instead of magenta-pink, silver robot mode chest instead of bronze, green is a bit too minty. Ah...

    G1 Marvel Comic Collections

Damn I didn't know this existed, now I'm sad I missed it - like you say, a full collection of all the Universe profiles in one place is super handy. Something to hunt for I suppose.

Transformers Hall of Fame 2024 voting now open - until Sept 9

Thirteen: Yeah, tough vote since most of them are kinda nothings. Vector Prime and Alpha Trion are cool since they've actually shown up and done stuff before. The G2er in me was tempted for Liege Maximo but I know they just think of him as Loki now because of his horns. In the end I went for...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

Looking at the sales figures on ICv2 (so can only see top 50; number in parentheses is overall rank in units sold among all single issues that month, spoilered for space): So yeah, TF is easily their top seller (frequently in the top 5 of all comics period), the GIJOE stuff is doing pretty...

(40th Anniv.) Ranking the 100 Marvel (US) G1/G2 Comic Covers: Complete!

Time to bring it home! #5: The Transformers #78 - "A Savage Circle" Andrew Wildman I adore the shattered mirror design here, reflective of Galvatron's disintegrating sanity as he confronts his past self. The effect even extends to the title logo (and bonus lower left box) which is cool...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

Not really surprising, most of the stuff he's done is only like 5-8 issues; I think Extremity is his longest at 12. So his Transformers run will have been twice as long as anything else he's ever done. The real interesting part is gonna be seeing what Skybound does after he leaves. Continue as...
