You know, looking at how much bigger Star Optimus is compared to Superion, but also so much smaller than every past Titan class figure, I just realized something about this new smaller Titan class.
It's the return of the Supreme class from the Unicron Trilogy! Supreme class is back, baby!

Combined with the fact that Star Optimus's torso looks more like that of Powermaster Optimus, I'm guessing that statue group shot was based on earlier non-finalized designs.
It was designed to be a launch platform that connects to Metroplex's city mode in the Jizai Gattai subline of Diaclone, in order to upgrade Metroplex's city mode along with Motormaster, Onslaught, and Hot Spot's own base modes.
