Shout received their subtitle scripts from Hasbro, who has used the Metrodome scripts as a base before changing them (and since Hasbro was the middleman here, that's why I suspect Alvarez was involved in the scripts being rewritten).
The truly sad thing is, the Metrodome subs had some flaws of...
That's a pretty weighted question, as there are a lot of Japanese Transformers series all with varying degrees of quality and many people have differing opinions and tastes about which ones they prefer over others.
Also, I assume that when you say that the Japanese ones have been uploaded to...
I feel like calling BM Magmatron a direct import is a little bit disingenuous, since he was given his own new American packaging and everything to make him feel part of the BM line proper. Prior to his release, Hasbro had done direct imports of some of the Japanese Beast Wars toys, and they...
Although, if we want to know the first Hasbro release of a Japanese-original character ever, then in might be the Beast Machines Dinobots release of Magmatron.
May she rest in peace.
This is just one of many, countless tributes to her that have gone up on YouTube within the past 24 hours. It's truly remarkable.
There's even another Transformers character based on the crab constellation who's so obscure that using his name as a friendly Trademark for Masterforce Cancer would have sufficed: "Cancix".
Even sounds more "Transformers-y" than just the word "Cancer" unaltered.
Certainly!
Throughout all three DVD sets, instances of various exclamations and interjections were all streamlined to default to such phrases as "Scrap!" and "By the AllSpark!" This was done arbitrarily as though someone just did a quick "Find and replace" for certain words that had originally...
As I said before, it wasn't just names that were changed. Entire lines of dialogue were rewritten to say things that weren't at all accurate to what was being spoken verbally by the characters. Oftentimes, this was done to add in references to Aligned and/or IDW1 lore, or even TFTM quotes, all...
There was that Generations Black Shadow that was a Hasbro-original retool of Generations Thunderwing. But I feel like there might have been something even earlier than that (and I'm not counting the Fun Pub figures, either).
Maybe the two Universe Leo Prime figures that were a both...
I've sat through all three shows from start to finish.
The Headmasters was definitely a dull slog but did have its moments however few and far between, and I likewise still prefer it over The Rebirth (not just because it's a full series compared to a three-parter, but so many things rubbed me...
Yeah, this was the greater point I was trying to make. They are hit or miss, but when they hit they really hit out of the park.
Which GameStop is that? That sounds like something I might want to get a look at in person.
The thing is, the majority of these responses came from people who, in other posts, were thrilled that these DVD sets we're being released in the US. If they were that excited, they had to have had some care about those shows.
