I didn't really follow the comics, but from what I gleaned by being in the fandom, that always irked me, too. I wouldn't even really mind a roughly 50/50 split, or most of them being generally good hearted if not always effective, but it always rubbed me wrong that every single pre-Optimus...
The one way to figure out if a toy will be expensive on the aftermarket is to see which characters I see for cheap in stores and then pass on, only to decide I want later. THOSE are guaranteed to rise in value.
Not ENTIRELY convinced that we won't see some of this in Cyberworld? There's still a Megatron, but he's a bull now, and Optimus is some kind of 4WD truck instead of a semi. It's going to have G1-esque elements, sure, but they don't seem to be too afraid to mix things up.
They say 5.5", which is kind of right between Deluxe and Voyager. I guess I can buy Voyager mass, though. They all are on the chonky side.
Maybe he's British so the "H" is silent? 'ellBat
I'm arranging my collection onto shelves now, and I'm running into that. There's some characters that I have new, fantastic versions of, but the older one I also still have was uniquely fun in some way. Sometimes I just put them in different groups (Siege Springer with the '86 movie cast...
Hmm. Really feels like $50-$100 too much, especially if Deathcobra doesn't end up getting unlocked. I know that's kind of the whole thing with Haslabs, that you don't get the whole economy-of-scale discount you would with more traditional releases, but I don't know if I'm in anymore or not.
Just continuing the Transformers tradition of using the corpses of your acquaintances as weapons.
EDIT: I am glad that they found a way to get him into the combined mode. I love that they included him, especially if he can be an alternate arm, but it's icing on the cake that he can be...
I'm guessing it will be around the $200 mark? Everything seems pretty comparable, size-wise, to Combiner Wars figures, so:
6 Deluxes x $25 each = $150
1 Voyager x $35 = $35
Various bits-and-bobs = $?
Total: $200-ish?
I was getting ready to come in and say something similar. Between only dipping my toes back into collecting around the Cybertron era and being occasionally cash-strapped due to wisely deciding to have a kid just as the economy was tanking around 2008, I was pretty hit-or-miss with getting...
MSN has posted images of the next Haslab project: Liokaiser!
This new version includes all 6 main members of the Breastforce team, all Breastforce animal partners, and even a Deathcobra figure! Accessories include a stand and spear. A gallery of the images is mirrored below:
Stay tuned to...
This might be my first Haslab. I've always liked the look of Liokaiser, but only had the teeny tiny KO version from Tuesday Morning (that used a weird Double Dealer type bot for one arm). Hoping the price is reasonable.
I'm kind of surprised that they kept as much of the "little kid toy" aesthetic as they did. I was expecting more of a "what if Heatwave had been a G1 Character" look. Not so much in robot mode, which is fine, but more of I expected him to transform into a fairly realistic firetruck, similar to...
