^This is what I'm thinking. They'll distill the main highlights of MP-44 into a more easily digestible (and crucially, far, far less expensive) version of Optimus at the Commander pricepoint.

Those are okayish prices; certainly better than spending $34 - $35 each.

That's pretty much how I feel. G1 will always be my true north, but I have embraced - and found lots to like - about most of the subsequent series.
