Yeah I have no familiarity with LoL, but this show is phenomenal. Animation and direction remind me a lot of SpiderVerse. Which is probably the best compliment I can give something. It's amazing how such a high quality animated series can exist for adults.

Rictus is female. Though the wiki says male, she had breasts and a female voice (and actress). Don't know much about the comics so I was surprised by (and horrified with the details of) the Orphan reveal.

Yeah the peg hole never turns blue. So it's gotta be a coating or paint. Surprised the joints change based on that.

Are you sure? I think it might have to do more with what's exposed to the cold. Mine was outside today and he looked totally blue after being outside for hours. But putting him in the freezer for a bit and the insides of things and some of the joints hadn't fully changed. I'm pretty convinced...
