I think Dake's image here illustrates my point well. If the vehicle canopy isn't allowed to split or disassemble, you either got to put it on his back or make it the torso. You can imagine how doofy that may look if you were to slap CW Megatron's limbs and head on it.

That would have been ideal, but that's one big cockpit to try to integrate anywhere. Even if his limbs and lower half all surrounded a mostly unaltered cockpit, he'd probably look very much like a HISS cockpit with a head and limbs poking out of it.

He'd have to be a lot bigger or have tiny limbs to have incorporated the cockpit another way than just hanging off his back. Not much you can do with it. Looking like Megatron as much as possible while also looking identical to an actual HISS and having a cockpit to fit a 3 3/4" figure were...

The designs have gone from reimagined to faithful recreations it seems. Which is more boring, but I cannot say that the Python Patrol Officer isn't a beautiful thing. He hits all the right nostalgia buttons for me.

Part of the issue is wanting to make the cockpit fully functional and fit a figure. They likely didn't want to have they split up and integrating it into the transformation more (not having it hang off the back) would have led to either a much bigger figure or something that looked very derpy.

While I would agree with most of what you've said, the popularity of the Disney rides may show there is still interest in the world. But that could just be a really cool ride is going to be popular, regardless of what it is.

She's honestly the most interesting figure in that wave to me. Beyond maybe Wong.

I went to three different Targets over the last week. All three had 5+ America Chavez figures and no one else from MoM. Definitely getting solid cases.

I don't think the issues were so much assembly as box and sound clip errors. I may be misremembering. Mine is fine.
