There are 3 plus locations that patriots have shut down so far with many more planned to be closed. People wanted action I’m guessing there are 100,000s of men willing to fill their shoes.”

Press X to doubt

“I would say there are around 300 men, maybe more.

Quelle Surprise

Are we going to hit the trifecta where the ostensible opposition comes out strongly for less overt racism so they can accomplish the same vile ends quietly through the mechanism of the state?

Mike Tapp, the Labour MP for Dover and Deal, In a post on Facebook, he said: “I bet if you asked any one of those ‘protesters’ they wouldn’t know small boat crossings are down by 40% and we are working hard to fix the mess.

That’s a BINGO!

I mean, “as an option”, and he could quickly row this statement back a bit. But even suggesting this is a possibility, in public; I haven’t heard that spoken by a politician of a major party for the best part of a decade.

Kinda surprised they don’t use that as cudgel for “why everything sucks” like the right does with migrants and minorities.

It even has the benefit of being largely true!

I wonder what the EU has to say about this. If it were me, I'd refuse to let them go back to the special treatment they had before and insist on becoming full members or nothing. That means submitting to all EU laws and regulations and, I presume, abolishing the pound and adopting the euro.

I don’t disagree with that, but I think they’d throw in a few ‘extras’. Although, I’ve of the opinion that the longer we stay out, the more the country generally would be probably willing to accept all and any entry requirements.

I don’t have a problem with adopting the Euro currency. I mean, we should’ve joined on day one. TBH, I think convincing the public to adopt it (if needed) will be an easier job than in 2001 because electronic payments are so much more common.

I’m actually astonished that any politician from the main two parties has publicly acknowledged the extent of Russian interference, let alone a sitting prime minister. It’s quite something to take in.
