As for Bruticus, my Onslaught should be shipping out this week and hopefully be here by Friday at the latest with Sideways (Armada) while Swindle is a couple of months off, but then I'm also waiting for Hasbro UK to get Liokasier shipped out, they are being extremely slow on him

I would love to get a Computron, as sadly that was one I lost in the purge of 2018.

Well they've done cores, deluxes, leaders so next they could try voyagers or titan class.
Deluxe Slash as a sword, voyager Skarr as a shield and Club would be aces.

On the subject of combiners, DNA's new kit functionally is a frame combiner Monstructor. It uses the extra parts as some sort of base, others stick on the monsters. It's cumbersome looking but adds extra IDW arms among other things.

I never actually did get a Monstructor, I'm half tempted to get one, this kit, and a couple of my Schleich Eldrador Creature things I already have a few of and call it 'good enough'.

I have Monstructor and I really want to like that set. However, I just don't care about 90% of it. I think for all of the bulk and bluster it adds to combined mode, it makes the noggin look teeny tiny. It would have been cool to see an alternate head at least. And, of course, in typical DNA fashion, the kit costs half as much as the actual figure it's "upgrading", so there's that.

I think that there was some chatter several months ago from Nonnef, re: some Pretender-style shells for the individual bots, so I will keep an eye out for that. Otherwise, Monstructor au Naturel is fine with me.

It's not for me. All I'd need is the bits that add the vestigial tiny arms, preferably on something that looks better than that chunk hanging under the original chest. Maybe some things that flesh out the monster altmodes a bit more, but only if they integrate well (always a challenge for stuff designed after the fact). Everything recycled from the Volcanicus and Dinoking kits is an easy, easy pass. I mean, not like I can afford to spend on upgrade stuff right now anyway. But the original set already has decent platform feet, fists, and overall proportions.

For now Monstructor does not appear to be selling out, and the kit doesn't ship till next year. I know Dinoking has had a few sales, I may see if Monstructor has one later.

I like the look and will get the kit. But Monstructor is one of those 'had him as a kid' things so I love everything about them and it has nothing to do with logic or anything. I freely admit the nostalgia is driving me on this one.

As far as Joyride, I tried to fold down the front 'forks' on his back and that worked, but it isn't very elegant. I hope we get a better Joyride in the future.
