Side thing but did you read the other Timelines scripts while you were working on yours? I'm assuming the other writers had to tell you how they're using the Metool.

Nope!

Well, not exactly. I saw their pitches or summaries or something. So I had some idea of what they were doing, but to this day, I don't know the full stories -- still waiting to get mine. XD (Hopefully they're waiting to send them all together, and since mine is last...)

I'll say this, though: What they were doing really didn't influence my story in any meaningful way. But I think I knew what I wanted to do even before I saw theirs. I think I asked about them after to see if there was anything to tie them together in such a way, but in the end, not really.

My thumbs hurt! Finished Zero 2!

I was suppose to only play one boss after that darn Phoenix burning guy but the other boss was so easy (in Casual mode) that I continued until all three of the first four were beaten.

Then the cool bomb thing happened so I had to play. Then Harpuia was a boss in the next set of four so I had to play (cuz I want to know why he saved Zero) but no info so beat the others.

Then to Neo Arcadia. I just wanted to try the start but there were temples after with the Guardians. Had to push until Harpuia, who... is fighting Elpizo? So he's good now?

This is the point when I HATED not being able to skip the boss cutscenes. Had to die three times from Harpuia pushing me to the edge with his whirlwind before I realized I had to cling to the edge to survive.

Beat him. Beat the repeat bosses (Phoenix guy still tough but with Thunder, he goes down faster. Frog was hard too). Beat Elpizo with second try (he's easy? But I died the first time and had to endure the loooong cut scene).

Who the hex is the Dark Elf? Why does Zero know her? I haven't finished X6 and X7 but the only ladies around were Iris and Layer, Alia, Palette.

Started Zero 3 and Harpuia, Fefnir and Leviathan fought Omega and there's a floating head named Weil? Anyway, have to stop and just play ZX to prep for comic reading. Ugh, just rambling.

Have to say, Casual mode makes thing easy but I KNOW I'm missing on a ton of cool stuff. I doubt I'll play the games on regular mode since I still have to play other games like Breath of the Tears Zelda, MetroiDread and a Pokémon Silver I borrowed. I need to sleep, uuuugh

Um, how long is ZX? I looked up a walkthru in YouTube to see how long it would be and I don't see any continuous runs. Will this take 6+ hours?!??!

Zero 1 and 2 were, like, 8 robot boss stages then 4 final boss levels plus 2 or so intro and middle stages and that was like, maybe less than 3 hours.

No. However, the five Game Boy titles from the Classic series are available on Nintendo Switch Online Classics for Game Boy.

Hard to say. Unlike Maverick Hunter X, for some reason involving the code, I believe, the western version of Powered Up never even made it to the PlayStation Vita.

I didn't know there's a website such as howlongtobeat. That's cool to know.

Since I'm in casual play, I don't have to do all side stuff. Sooo probably 11 hours for me.

I'm playing Vent and I thought Giro was a girl, haha. Then he dies?!?! Then I realize Giro is a rhyme for Zero, haha.

Harpuia flying armor is the best.

Phantom machine gun ninja stars armor is awesome against bosses so it bit when the final boss had to default to the ZX armor.

I had the stupidest time, trying to find Area M
and L or the two with the Phantom biometal, because I didn't bother to check before Area A! I only went up there when I was looking for a Miracle Flower side quest. ONLY then did I find the path to the last two biometals, geez.

I went to the optional Zero 3 teleport room and beat 4 of them and then also the Zero copy. But the story wasn't ending. Turns out I had to go to the highway in Area D.

First form Serpent was easy with Phantom armor. Second form, I can get to the second form with only little life left so I used an Energy Tank, which I didn't use before. I was just getting tired and wanted to see the end.

Will sleep. Gosh, I hope the Timelines ZX comic doesn't require reading ZX Advent, haha

Model H is definitely good, but yeah, Model P was my default most of the time. Loved spamming kunai.

Yeah, the map system isn't widely regarded as being particularly "good" in ZX1. Didn't really bother me much, but...

Advent's is better, but I feel like that game has other issues. I tend to be alone in that opinion, though.

Did you get the item looked at that you got from beating Omega (the "Zero copy")? You can't get it if you did Easy mode, though.

That part was more like a bonus section, and the bosses (besides Omega) you would fight depended on whether you had MMZero 3 or 4 inserted into the Nintendo DS's GBA cartridge slot. I believe there's a toggle in Legacy Collection for that.

I was in casual mode so I didn't get the Omega X model, darn!

Yeah, there was a toggle for Zero3 or Zero4. I used Zero3 and fought bosses I haven't faced before, haha



Weird thing but there's an area where nothing is there? At B-4, entered by a door, the place has yellow water and a dead end. What was there?

There's also a metal floor in B-2 that looks like it opens (has that enemy with a one way shield going back and forth on it) but I don't know how to open it. I'm trying to look for info. Model LX shows that the floor is hollow after that metal bar floor.

Also played ZX Advent intro, just in case I need to know it for the comic reading. Model A!!!!! It's Axl!!!!! I beat the train boss and he transformed into him!!!!

I actually like X8 Axl a lot (haven't finished X7 yet) so I love that he's the Model X type for ZX Advent, woo!

Weird but why isn't it Vent? Why is it a new person Grey Ash? Oh well

Oh, it turns out the B-4 area had yellow water because it was a side quest, haha. I didn't do all the money related sidequests.

Anyhow, I thiiiiiink I like the Metroidvania stuff of ZX cuz of the story so I'll finish Advent. But I'll finish Zero 3 too cuz I want to see how Harpuia and the Fafnir and Leviathan die. I read that they don't appear or are mentioned in Zero 4 anyway.

With the Phantom X model being used, it's a huge shame that they killed him off in the first game. Was there any explanation from IntiCreates on that?

ZX Advent takes place several years after ZX. The rest... well, you'll see.

Oh, good, you figured it out. It's been quite a while since I played, and I don't have nearly as many reps with that game as I do others, so I don't remember. ^^;;

They do not and are not. In fact, their death in Z3 was something of a retcon.

I don't remember if they said it, or someone else did, or if it's just people connecting dots (so take this with a grain of salt), but I've heard it was because he's sort of like a parallel/rival to Zero, and, well...

I never viewed Zero as a ninja and, hmm, he wasn't even a 'I'm a man of honor, honor bound to serve my Master, death before dishonor' kind of guy.

Because of the Beam Saber, I kinda saw him as a fake Jedi, from my first impression, haha.

Hidden Phantom's role as a ninja would have been a different flavor from Zero so, darn! I feel sorry for him now, especially when it was soooo cool to play his Model PX form in ZX.

Zero was the leader of the Special 0th Unit (Shinobi), for what it's worth.
