The size of the figures in this line is impressive.
I would die for a set of Nemesis-colored Wildking beasts.
It's like a return of the UT chunkiness.
Now if only it can be matched with a return of UT prices.
And durability. Very few things from then ever broke, and when they did (Energon Starscream and Snow Cat) they did it on clear joints.
Visiting the inlaws in Ohio, so I got to shop at a Meijer yesterday (don't have any in Iowa, afaik) and found Alchemist Prime and Crasher, and then stopped at a collectable shop (Operation: Fandom in Wooster if anyone is interested) and found a bunch of Gobots, a Kelloggs Starbot, Fearswoop, and Targetmaster Recoil. Got a really good deal on them, too! Haywire3 has already claimed the Leader-1, though! (Guess I'm raising him right!)
The headcrest is an easy enough choice to paint but now I find myself wanting to paint the eyes as well since the lightpiping’s not all that effective. Considering the sticker detail on the waist as well and redoing the yellow on the knees since they have a greenish tinge due to Hasbro not learning to prime before applying light colored paint to dark color plastic.
Super Megatron’s gonna look real silly pulling up on Star Optimus being below his knee and wearing Galvatron’s pants.
Alternately, Super Megatron is so powerful that Optimus had to become so huge in order to match his power.
Getting shot in the groin with a fusion cannon will quickly kill any sort of superiority complex Star Convoy has.
Just think of it as battle damage.
