So many transformers don't have waist movement for various reasons that I don't count it as an essential point of articulation. Probably just me though.

Just not understanding the need for a new seeker mold?? But okay, sure, new Thundercracker, I guess.

I kinda get it. The current seeker mold is just an upscale of the old CHUG one. This sounds like they wanted to do like Prime and Magnus and some of the others and try to make another mini-masterpiece. From a purely design standpoint, I can understand why they would want a more modern looking seeker mold.

I just think they maybe should've waited and created an all-new mold to begin with, if the plan was to turn around a couple of years later and do "brand new". And I get the whole "they're a company/tring to make money/ upscaling CHUG was easy money" stance. It's just that I'm honestly at 100% seeker fatigue. What they've released up until this point has been really good - and good enough - IMO.

If it doesn't have the cockpit hanging off the back of the robot mode, I might consider starting all over again. The rest is a mostly lateral, slightly upward move, but I like that it's markedly less greebly, and that integration would be a significant improvement.

I would like the first one I get to be Sunstorm. Assuming they ever make one.

(interestingly, the Studio Series WFC Thundercracker seems to be the exact shade of light blue I like. Still not really into the mold; that and the Armada one are staying Deluxe for me.)

Sad there was no reveal of SS86 Astrotrain or Kranix.
I was a little skeptical of a few of the listings from that leak, and Kranix was one of them. Part of that is how much I want an actual Kranix toy and I don't wanna be disappointed.
(The others IIRC were Armada Sideways, which again, NEEED, and BW Quickstrike, so, maybe I should dare to dream.)

Okay, I... I may be interested. (Photo from @Protoman)

But maybe this time I can wait? There's going to be more Dramatic Capture-ing of this mold at some point, right? Maybe right before they debut the NEXT new new new Seeker mold?

It's looking reasonably clean. Like, the same notion, but integrated just enough over the Earthrise mold to make it appealing. Not having a giant tube just dangling on a stalk over the back is an automatic win.

Sunstorm, please, now.

Back when the WFC trilogy began and we had the pre-earth seeker mold, I honestly thought that Hasbro would just reshell that mold for Earth mode as most of the alt mode was just hanging on the back of the robot but then we got the upscaled classics seeker mold instead! With this new seeker mold, I honestly expect Hasbro for the next few years to milk it for all its worth starting with the original trio, then the Coneheads, followed by the Rainmakers and Sunstorm along with whoever else uses that desgin, like: Geneic solider 101!

Nah. I'm still done complaining. I got what I asked for. Seeker design isn't frozen in time anymore. It's finally moving on and so am I.

Whether or not I go in on new Seekers will come down to how this new mould ends up looking in reviews.

The flat Sunbow stylings aren't my cup of tea.
If it turns out to be amazing, sure... but if it's too Sunbow-y, or just not enough of an upgrade, I'll happily stick with my ER ones.

Pfft, and you can yourself a Transformers fan…

I'm at the point where I'm tired of incrementally upgrading the same characters over and over. The Earthrise Seeker is far from perfect but it's good enough.
Same. Barring some overwhelming “thing” that trips my trigger, I don’t have the space or money for G1 Wheeljack number 3, or Seeker number 5. I got ER Prime, I saw no compelling reason to get the Studio Series Commander.

That said, I don’t have a Voyager Thundercracker, we we’ll see how his final colors look. And if they can nail the face on Starscream (my only real complaint with the SS Leader release), they could nail me on him. Or a G2 deco is low hanging fruit as well.
(I’m totally ending up with multiples of this mold, aren’t I?)
