I'm all in on Razorclaw. Maybe Big Convoy.

I never really had much skin in the game because I'm holding off on the Primes, but I wish Quintus turned into one of the weird spiral ships.

I'm out on vacation this week, currently in Disneyland so I haven't been online for most of the week, but I tool a quick second to see the pics of the presentation at SDCC. Loving the new Junkions, Primes, and Big Convoy. Don't need to start over on the Seekers again, but am open to any otherwise "new" Seekers from that mold like FINALLY getting a Sunstorm or something.

Giving Blastoff the toy chest but stupid painted forehead is certainly a choice.
Looks like the show model to me.

Voyagers are 35. Soundwave's cassettes have been sold as core class price of $12 though these have no accessories (though also, they have elbows for a change), so even with tall that, this still feels overpriced.
I don't think Nemesis is a Voyager. He seems like a Leader, sans trailer. He's still got all the engineering and tooling for a combined mode, after all.

So a Leader... plus three Cores that have extra tooling to combine? I can see $75 worth of value.

Cartoon accuracy and TFWiki strike again. This is the only picture on the wiki of this character from the cartoon and I'm 100% sure that's why they went with mangled face.

We only see the broken face for literally two seconds in the cartoon. Maybe if they had actually watched the episode, we could have gotten his extend-o arm. 😢

What could have been... 😢😢😢

Anyway, the color of this toy reminds me of Powerlinx Optimus.
I like it. Sure it's a brief scene but it gives Armada Nemesis his own vibe.

Razorclaw looks good, but not $60 for a repaint good. Don't really care about the Junkions, didn't care too much for those molds the first time. Amalgamous is a maybe, just for being so weird, but I want to see more first. Big Convoy's also a maybe, I have Universe Nemesis Prime, and it appeals to me to have them both as different molds to sell Nemmy's "evil clone warped by Unicron" story, but first I want to see what they did with his giant gun. If it's still covered in a third of the alt mode, I'll pass.

All in on the Combaticons, though.

From the looks of it, his tail doesn't move, but I could be wrong on that as I need to see front facing images of that pose but generally he looks to be pretty much the same desgin with a few minor changes, its a case of why mess with prefection?

So like, any word on Swindle? It's cool seeing Blast Off, Brawl and a little bit about Onslaught, but just wondering if any mention has been made.

I have four versions of the original Big Convoy mold. This new one has a very nice robot mode and I’m sure it’ll be much easier to transform. But I’m not sold on the beast mode. The flat brown and the sculpt are not exciting me.

Re: Quintus: I'm reminded of the bit from Men in Black: "Congratulations. It's a squid."

I absolutely love the variety in the Primes. Alchemist is very normal, Solus and Prima are futuristic-but-not crazy and then the wild gets cranked up with Onyx, Quintus, and Algamous.

Jalopy looks fine. I wanted more Junkions, and yep, here's a Junkion in Junkion colors.

Wreck-Gar is also ok. Aside from the head, he looks to be barely redeco'd from Trashmaster, but again, Junkion in Junkion colors.

Anyway, yeah, this wave(?) looks really good. We still haven't seen Nexus Prime, but I have very high hopes.

I'm in a lot of the modern game for the redecos. Sadly after the apparent heyday of Selects we're down to a bit less than before (and most of it in an exclusive capsule or another), but sometimes we still get the occasional Razorclaw (yay). It's just enough drip-fed hope to get me to still wonder about a possible Cryotek. Or Glyph. Or Tap-Out. Etc.

If this gets us a new mass market (or close enough) Blue Big Convoy or Ultra Mammoth (or an all-new color scheme on Slammoth), hoo boy.

I'm still marveling at the fact that they emphasized the fact that they're keeping the "Big Convoy" name for a mass retail figure, something the Archer Era of Hasbro would have completely scoffed at.

Meanwhile, Star Optimus Prime...

Or is that specifically to connect "Optimus Prime" to the Thirteen in the limited lore of the toyline, and not create any wrinkles about "who's Convoy?" ("He's just zis guy, you know?")

(Also, I miss the Archer era and some of its trappings and philosophies, but we've also gotten TWO Sky Lynxes and more non-Decepticon Wheeljacks than one might have expected, so we're good)
