I've never seen anyone complain about the robot head he comes with, since that itself is a new head and the only remolding Hastak did. Every complaint I've seen is, what this set addresses: He doesn't look a thing like Godzilla. All the issues were with the dino mode.

Exactly. This set has me considering a base figure I was happy to pass on. That's the mark of a good add-on set.

And the robot mode head it comes with wasn't used for any other Dinobot so it's unique that regard as well.

For anyone wishing to add another Godzilla robot to their collection, here's a 3P Jet Jaguar.

Stop making me want things!

Truth be told, my better judgement will probably prevail here. I do like the new, more Godzilla-esque Godzilla, and the thought of a Jet Jaguar Wheelie riding him is very tempting, but the price for the base mold, the upgrade kit, and the Jet Jaguar adds up to more than I'm willing to spend. I've always liked Godzilla well enough, but I'm not a super fan or anything.

Yes, I agree. The reviews of Jet Jaguar at ShowZ aren't exactly glowing, either, if that helps you resist its charms.

I am a super fan but I'm not impressed enough to pay what all this would cost.

I had an MMC Feral Rex, which I loved, but comparing it to the Titan Predaking a friend had, Rex was NOT a lot of fun to actually use due to a mix of sharp edges and a mass issue that caused it to collapse under its own weight (which made those sharp parts WORSE). I hope T-Spark works out a bit better simply because the styling looks to be very similar, but the limb bots are supposedly smaller compared to the torso. It looks a lot slimmer. And unless that's just picture magic, I know my old one could never hold its arms up like that.

And re: MegaGodzilla, if they redo leader Grimlock as MechaGodzilla I will take that as vindication of what I did with my old clearance bin Toys R Us MP in protest of the actual Mechagodzilla figure I loved being priced at $260, which was/is WAY beyond what I can do right now.

Considering the recent(ish) MPM Raiden had stability issues, I wouldn't be surprised if this new Predaking does too.

I went to Oimachi Yamada Denki's 'T-Spark" section and Transformers aisle and then The "Transformers Meet Japan" pop-up shop (more of a corner) in The "HMV + Books" in Shibuya.

Note: - Due to EXTREMELY slow internet today, I've finally (after multiple attempts) uploaded the pictures to Google Drive (instead of wrestling with my connection and this site)

T-Spark (Yamada Denki, Otemachi, Tokyo).

TFs Meet Japan (HMV & Books, Shibuya, Tokyo).

My feelings about these two "events":

- The T-Spark section was really just an extra table and a few extra video screens (and not that different from displays you might see for regular TF toys at the likes of Toys R Us Japan, etc). The regular toy aisle was full of much older toys which might have gone on clearance sale at other regular Yamada Denki shops already.

- The "Meet Japan" section was disappointing. The clearfiles and banners featured extremely low-resolution and very pixellated scans that could be found as better quality scans online (probably). Many of the other items were regular/generic things with TF stickers on them (like the sweets and canned-drinks), the Japanese "Bikkuriman" keyrings were blind-bagged, the t-shirts were only in a small (Japanese) "large" (sic) size (with even other TF events in Japan offering larger sizes) and the display was leftover from the previous summer TF event in Tokyo last year. Not much felt truly "Japanese" or "exclusive" and I felt I could get most of the stuff for free or cheaper online (by just printing stuff out myself and laminating it or getting it for free, such as plastic/postcards with 3P/ShowZ purchases).

Overall, I was rather disappointed with both of these "events".
