Of course he's nervous: if the republicans get enough power: all his troubles literally evaporate.

OK, that was actually a pretty good quip. You must be in an uncharacteristically good mood today. Somehow.

Can you convict someone of a crime everyone knows he didn't do because of a false confession?

More importantly, can you use it as an excuse to overthrow the results he's falsely claiming credit for?

Considering how many other crimes he's effectively confessed to and nothing's happened, don't hold your breath.

It's very likely that his announcement on Tuesday is going to be a 2024 run at the Presidency just to avoid all these law suits.
Well, he very probably thinks that's how it will work, but it isn't. You have to actually be President to fall under that 'can't prosecute a sitting President' thing*.

(*And even that doctrine has never faced a serious legal challenge. Considering that it only exists in the form of a memo from the WH Office of Legal Council from the Nixon administration, there's nothing that says it would survive a well-founded case against it [of course the current right-wing hack SCOTUS would be happy to apply their double standards to it, sound legal arguments notwithstanding])
