I bought a knockoff SS86 Megs to paint into MP-05 colors. I'd use an original but it's not only more expensive, the knurled pins Hasbro uses makes it difficult to disassemble and reassemble for painting. I threw in a knockoff SS86 Thundercracker to qualify for a platform discount. Didn't really have any interest in rebuying the seekers but I essentially get him for peanuts and I figure I can paint him into Action Master Colors once I find a suitably garish pink.

The chaps in the video above haven't watched the video below as it seems that vintage KO Dia Battles are fairly easy to buy online...

Here's a video that shills KO TFs.

And here's a review of the KO "FIFA" MP OP.

Walmart has a KO devastator of some sort that I was tempted to get during their sale the other week.

Looking over it now, they seem to have a lot of Devastators on Walmart:

That one seems to be the same as the old "Cool Become Brave" line of knockoffs. I bought their Devestator and Defensor back when I had missed out on getting the originals and secondary market prices were ridiculous. Quality on both was pretty good, not Hasbro good but good for a KO. The Devestator I especially like because it's undersized to be only about a head taller than the other Combiner Wars gestalts.

I have the Defensor set as well! I got that one along with the Bruticus and Superion set after I had to sell the originals in the Great Purge of 2018. They are good stand ins, and other than the weird faction emblems, they look pretty spot on.

That Devastator is tempting to get for the scale alone.

I've got the USKO CW Devvy. It's not bad as it's about the same size as the regular CW gestalts.

Neat Robot! I never saw that one before, and wish that it could have got brought into G1.

I don't get the whole Rub sign elitism though. It wasn't really a thing with us growing up as we had KOs and Gobots, and they all played together with our Transformers.

I think it was Hasbro's way of showing customers that their versions were "genuine" TFs (and thus legally distinctive). This would have helped them with regards not only with legal disputes with KO/counterfeit toys, but also with legally licensed "doppelgangers" (such as Estrada jumpstarters, Italian TFs/Diaclone, Radioshack's "Galacticman", etc).
