Whoever decided to do the shoulders like that should be shot out of a cannon into the sun.
I was thinking almost the same thing
I really wish they'd redeco the hell out of that Legacy mold. Starting with a proper SG Starscream.
Still, wow, I'll never see a Cybertron mold and not be filled with a pleasant nostalgic buzz. Those were really satisfying.

Right then. Taking the core robot from the incomplete one and adding the armor from the one I got this past weekend, and I now have a stable Super Robot Universe (1.0) Optimus Prime I can now pick up without going to pieces.
So that just leaves the task of seeing if I can swap the electronics from the spare sound box into the knackered sound box from the OG 2001 RiD Optimus I got from the same lot.

That toy has always tempted me! It looks cool, but the lack of individual robot modes always kind of bugged me.
He's basically the Beast Wars equivalent of a Duocon, but with three altmodes instead of two. Or like Armada Tidal Wave.
