I'm kinda torn on this. Little gray splotch aside, that altmode is basically Essence of Cliffjumper. Similar vibe to seeing the Retro Brawn, gorgeous forest green and black square on hood and all. And this mold at least holds the rear chunk of the car to the body via a folding arm, like the Earthrise/Buzzworthy one should have gotten, and the roof chest in robot mode is the right way round. Lots of little pluses for this mold; I've yet to get Bee because of the headsculpt, but car front aside, I love how Bumper turned out.

But despite the second try, the robot mode still lacks the show model's little chest spoiler (they've never really gotten this in the remakes because of the transformation), and the colors are off compared to the Buzzworthy one, which I already have.

I have the old WalMart Bee for my 'main' Bumblebee, I will be very happy if I can get a Cliffjumper that's not the same mold as my Bumblebee. I think they're still close enough to work, I think Cliffjumper may be a bit taller but that actually works out well for me if so.

I'll just dismiss the grey spot as scraped paint from his last fight.

I'm still happy with ER Cliffjumper and Netflix Bumblebee. My only physical exposure to the SS86 mold has been Bumper, which served its purpose well enough. Of course, said purpose was to provide a head to transplant onto Worlds Collide Bumblebee's body to get a better Bumper...

Slog was known to have artistic tendencies...maybe he took the time to make his pummeling perfectly symmetrical as an ironic statement on the futility of war and how it never leads to any sort of balance in the long term outcome.

Or I could just be making this up to cover up the fact that the only Cliffjumper I have is the old Legends one that came with a yellow roller, and my nephew borrowed it, so if I can get one free with Amazon points, I'll work with anything.

I've just headcanoned Prime Cliffjumper into the role. The more aggressive design fits with his character more than red Bumblebee with a car hat. (Are spoilers car hats?)

I vastly prefer both versions of the ER one (original and Buzzworthy).
I don't really like the SS '86 Bumblebee mould, honestly, I just got it because I'm something of a Cliffjumper completionist.
I mean, I am, too, kinda.

I just really love Penny Racer Cliffjumper's alt mode more. That's the main thing.

Got Studio Series Shockwave as an impulse buy. Not much to say, he’s a degreebling of Stege Shockwave and has decent tolerances overall. The purple is great, vehicle mode is still whatever. The gray parts still steged up kind of contrast badly with the new smooth parts.

Vehicle mode is the upside down gun. Not a great vehicle mode but the part that I most dislike is the feet sticking out the back. The remolded also unfortunate loses the lightpiped eye on the bridge. Oh well.

Congrats on the purchase. It's definitely the Shockwave that I would have gotten the first time around, but I decided to leave this one on the store shelf. I honestly never had that much of an issue with the "Stege". The character deserves to be a larger, all-new mold, in keeping with Soundwave and Megs (looks a wee bit too diminutive next to both, IMO). But times are tough, and Hasbro just had to squeeze every drop out of the old Shockwave mold.

It's been tough to resist this one for sure. The purple is better, the topical ointments have worked on most of the stegeing, and he comes with gun mode Shockwave. (That third reason is very compelling.) But at this point it's still something of a lateral move and I may as well wait for him to get the Soundwave and Seeker and Astrotrain treatment that we know can't be that far behind.
