A ninja strikes when you least expect it.

On the other hand, this doesn't help when you call your attack and make your opponent expect it. This happens maybe 17 times.

Two of these meetings could have been one email. 90% of this is the same as 90% of each of the last two parts of this finale. Maybe 92.5%, as even the powering up sequence is done again.

What was Galvatron afraid of being sent back to? I don't remember anything about him in this. Or anything substantial being revealed about whatever that was that opened up or where it led.

The closing shots were intriguing, but continue the pattern of "we're not actually resolving or satisfying anything, here, have another thing to anticipate" that this show has been all about for some time.

It helps that it's one of the stronger Cyberworld moulds. And "Optimus but he's a pirate" has some novelty.

I do see the helmet seems to have a pirate hat shape (in yellow) incorporated into it. I'd have LOVED it if they gave him a beard. Over the faceplate. Alas, no, just the hat. But even that's more than we'd usually get, so okay.

Shame this is too distinctly Prime to repurpose as, idk, High Tide, who has similar colors in entirely different places. Just as well! I'm already getting the Scourge, and I don't need multiples of this.

Also this is probably going to be the closest we get to a Riptide figure.
For now, at least. That's part of what holds my interest. But more so a nice color scheme on a nice design (Wasn't Riptide a touch more purple?). I'm largely done with this line, but if I see an Elita I may get one. And if this were standalone I might have, too.

Yeah, I have no idea what actually happened in this episode. Or this three-parter as a whole. For a season finale, that is not good. I feel like they never expected a second season and had no idea what they'd do with one, and then they got one, so some of what they had planned for this season got punted into the next and the rest of this season s l o w e d w a y d o w n to compensate.

I have not revised my opinion of the early episodes. This show got off to a really solid start. It was good. But it never recovered from the loss of the initial goal.
