These don't look all that different from the Beast Wars Again versions.

Yeah, this appears to pretty much be Hasbro's answer to Beast Wars Again.

I guess the upside to this would be the convenience of getting them all at once if one missed out on either both the Kingdom and Beast Wars Again versions, or just the latter and don't mind having the Kingdom ones in addition to these.

I'm actually a little surprised that they didn't throw in some new thing exclusive to this set as a little bonus incentive, like a new accessory or something.

For something celebrating a anniversary this is very as little effort as possible, but that's pretty much how Hasbro rolls as far as Beast Wars anniversaries go.

Looking at the set contents, I'm expecting a $220 MSRP to start with.

This does look pretty darn cool. However, a box set like this is something that I would most likely jump on in any one of the following scenarios:

-I didn't already own these individually. Or: I refrained from buying them individually because I knew that a box set was forthcoming (something akin to the days when "Takara did it differently better").

-They were so different and so "premium" that I just couldn't resist all that sweet, sweet paint and extra detailing.

-There was something extra packed in with the set, that was so inticing that I just couldn't pass it up.

This doesn't appear to offer much except a place to get the same, already-released-in-some-form Season 1 Predacons in one fell swoop (I mean, Terrorsaur). So yeah, cool, but ultimately, not something I'd go for.

I wish some of these molds were better. Terrorsaur deserved a transformation at least on par with the 1996 Basic but this is somehow worse.

They could have at least colored it right. Where did they even get such bright colors for Terrorsaur? That's not what he looks like.

From the Beast Wars Again deco, looks like.

But where did that come from?
If I had to guess, I'd say it was the Japanese DVD release of Beast Wars, which has a brighter color tint to its picture quality than the Beast Wars DVDs released in the west.

It's strange, because their Masterpiece Beast Wars decos have been perfect. Perfect to the point of being uncanny. They shouldn't exist as physical objects yet they do. So Takara must have access to some good reference material.

Terrorsaur also needed to be a Voyager as he's almost as tall as Megatron in the show.
