Carnivac was always a favorite of mine as a kid, so I was understandably very excited for him to get a new figure. As much as I really do love the inner robot look, I was missing his organic shell (a wolf wearing a leather jacket and spiked shoulder pads struck me as the coolest thing that ever had been or ever would be when I was 8). I found someone selling 3D printed wolf shell based on the Titans Return battle-master-esque things. I totally love it. It may not have the heft of the old shell, but it's a great accessory that brings him closer to being the complete Canivac package.

There are a coupleof different ways you can transform him into a gun. One of them has a 5mm port compatible with blase effects

One of them has a barrel too small for blast effects, but DOES perfectly fit the torch accessory that came with Jurassic Park Ian Malcom, which has a cool "just fired the gun" smoke effect to it

His color’s hard to catch on camera between the fish light and my phone’s color correction. To my eye, he looks most like the color in the groupshot from my previous post but this camera makes him look darker.

Comparing him to these other blue guys in neutral light might help. He’s noticeably darker than the other guys but not as dark as Sky Byte who’s purpler and not even that dark of a navy blue.

Yeah, Ironhide is still on the shelf at the Walmart closest to me, but he costs more there than what I paid online. I watched Grimlock listings at Amazon for a while - I waited until I had a little extra $ on hand to pick him up, but I was worried he'd disappear before I got to him. Probably didn't need to worry quite so much.
