The 'knee' on Dinoking had some cuts to allow the brotosaur tail to move inside and avoid colliding, so the legs were stuck to one side for the most part.

For Slog, maybe fold the robot legs up Grimlock style, and have something peg into the back holes to give the Beast Mode shorter stubby alternate legs?

I'd like to see a G1 head as an alternate option, even if I never end up using it. Options are good.
It's kind of wild how Transfomers Generations is pretty much the last collector-aimed toyline to not feature alternate heads as a standard feature. A few multi-packs included alternate head options (the troop builder pack stands out as a prime example) and there have been the odd release here or there to do it, like SG Ultra Magnus having both the SG Ultra Magnus and Diaclone Delta Magnus heads... but by and large it's pretty rare. Meanwhile pretty much anyone else doing collector-aimed stuff will have at least one alternate head in the box, if not two.

What, do you want them to raise prices another $20?

I think it may be because of the number of heads where the head strut is also on a joint of some sort, where the pressure needed to remove a head would, if someone like an actual kid didn't know exactly how and just tried to pull it off, would result in real breakage. I have a lot of far simpler figures where the removable heads will cause the figure to break if you don't use a hair dryer.

honestly they should just use the sliding off mechanism they did in the troop builder pack to swap between the animated autotrooper head and the kiss players autorooper head on that toy as the standard 'head swapping mechanism' or sumn idk

that pack came out in like 2023 and i still can't believe 'we technically got a new toy representing ******* kiss players of all things from hasbro'

For me, the downside of alternate head options is that there is usually no way to store the extra head(s) on the figure itself when one head is in use over the other(s).

That's not much of a downside; that's barely an inconvenience. Chuck them into an accessory box like most of the accessories that also can't be stored in/on the figure these days. Still rather have them than not have them.

Alternate heads have been one of my most requested things for some time. In theory they're easily implementable, as long as the neck joint is simple for popping on and off (a standard ball joint should be fine). And let's not have any of that "it's actually an alternate mask, the base of the head stays on the neck" nonsense from the troop builder pack.

Problem is, what I'd prefer are entirely different heads (perhaps even the ones intended for pretools) as opposed to the same head with a different facial expression or detail color or degree of battle damage. Like, Bumblebee having an alternate Bumper head or an Earth mode Prowl with an Autotrooper head. So that's probably something they're even less likely to do. But it'd be nice to at least get, say, the same Ratchet head in cartoon and comic colors. Options are still good.

Given how parts starved the toy engineering is after all the budget cuts I wouldn't want one to three of them wasted on an alternate head tbh.
