I think we all want a Monstructor. And while we will take it as this smaller size, I also think most of us want one thats same size as the other combiners. Thats my only issue with the Dinoking, he looks ridiculously small on the Victory shelf.
Just like the original toy. :p

Since my Victory figures include Kabaya Deathsaurus and Road Ceasar, the KO Liokaiser with the Doubledealer-Hellbat arm, and a KO of Robotmasters Victory Saber, Dinoking is decently-sized.

Now, if I figure in the Destron Liokaiser set and Haslab Liokaiser when I get him, then, yeah, Dinoking is pretty short for a stormtrooper
Combiner, but it's cool he exists at any size, and I prefer to display Legends-sized figures, anyway. I'm weird that way.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a decent OSKO of this figure yet.

I mean, I'd like a big one, too, but I'd take a small one to menace my Blokees or something.
I kind of view Monstructor akin to the live action film’s Infernicus: small for a “combiner”, but still a ferocious foe that will intimidate smaller Transformers, much less puny organics. I mean, we DO live in a universe where Armada Perceptor is still considered a “combiner”.

I still have my childhood Monstructor. Aside from a split in Bristleback's gold legs, which so far isn't causing any real problems, he's still in great shape, too. Which is kind of amazing, since I got a lot of play out of him as a kid. He's later G1, so I was admittedly a bit older when I got him, but not many of my G1 toys managed to hold up anywhere nearly so well.

Having said that, the one thing I didn't ever like about him was how dinky he is. Even back then, a combiner that was the size of a normal TF was underwhelming. Having since seen him (and Dinoking in Victory) get used in media as a typically-sized combiner, going toe-to-toe with bots like Omega Supreme, makes it just that much more disappointing that this seems to be all the consideration HasTak wants to give him. It's not that I dislike the idea of having a version of him at this size. It's that what I REALLY want is the full-sized version of him that I've been wanting for more than 35 years, and this absolutely does not satisfy that in the slightest.

I'm still willing to wait for him. But I've definitely reached the point where I really regret not having been able to afford a Beastructor back when that was new. I did eventually get the Dinoking version on clearance, so I'm well aware that he's nowhere near as good a version as I'd like, but it's still closer than this will be. But unless he gets a reissue (is FansProject even still around?), there's absolutely no chance of being able to afford him now.

I lost my Slog so I can never form Monstructor. I really should have got the bits I was missing when I got into collecting back in 2001. He's going for insane prices now due to all the pieces you can lose as well as GPS.

Perceptor is three dudes who merge into one dude. He's not "considered" a combiner, he IS a combiner. Just a small one, like Slamdance or Beastbox.

As far as Monstructor, his biggest role in fiction is in IDW1 where he's a massive threat on par with Omega Supreme or the Phase Sixers. So while I'll certainly still go for the smaller figure, I would still also like a giant one for that role, too.

I remember the Dinoforce grabbing Victory Saber by the ankles before Saber spared them and left, so I think that biases me towards smaller ones. Plus I really liked Dinoking and would love a similar Monstructor box set without hunting parts.

I can also easily see, in my own canon, Deathsaurus as the big guy running an operation with many smaller underlings Ork Warboss style, with the smaller ones combining into 'larger than average but not huge' ones as needed. Deathsaurus is a runtherd...

I eventually gave up and head-canon'd these two Safari LTD armored dinos as composites of the old shell bits left over when the Dinoforce incorporated most of them into improved Beast Modes. They don't hold bots anymore, more like mascots/pets. Helped by the fact that the T-rex has a steo tail, the Triceratops has an anklosaur club, etc.

These are both as-is, no paint or anything, they work great for me. Like I said above, if Monstructor follows a similar pattern and no company makes shells, I may get a few decent Eldrador Creatures, for him.

I've got a bunch of the Zuru 5-Surprise Dino Strike figures (I mean, cheap Dino Riders. I wasn't gonna NOT buy them) and I think that they work pretty well for Dinoforce shells. There's no sauropod, so I guess Rairyu is a plesiosaur now.
