Putting this here cause ultimately still happy about it, but I am very melancholic at the moment.

I was just sitting at my computer, listening to the news, when the paid promo kicked in. It was for gutter covers.

There was a little old lady I used to help. Twice a year, like clockwork: I had to clean the gutters. I hated climbing that ladder but I did it cause every time I did it meant one less thing for her to worry about, and every little bit to help keep her in her home.

Last summer, her osteoporosis got so bad that she couldn't live alone anymore. And off she went to an elder care home in ontario. She's in a better place to take care of her needs... but I would give a lot to dread climbing that ladder again.

I was seraching on Amazon UK at TF figures and saw the retro Seaspray at a fairly desent price, so I ordered him, I was not willing to pay the asking price on Ebay which is way more than I consider paying and that includes postage, the price was pretty much £28 with free postage and I'm not a member of Amazon Prime, I don't see much value in that, thou I was hoping to see if AOTP Blast off was there, while I pre-ordered him the other day, I'm hoping for a lower price but he wasn't listed on the UK Amazon site, but I'll keep my eye out to see if a better deal appears, as I held back upon the day preorders went up because my bank card was being replaced as the old one was expiring next month, so when I went to order, he was classed as sold out, but I did order Brawl! Also what made me happy is the lego insider double points weekend as I just put in a order for a lot of bricks for what I'm working on which is effectively a background for my Santa Sleigh and it will have some lights when finished to give a night background and I plan to have it have gifts seemingly falling off the back, plus I'm making some improvements to my winter scene for my Lodge kit I bought about two years ago, that still needs work and some of the bricks I ordered was for that, I pretty much got ideas spinning around inside of my head, currently and a large pile of stuff on top of my model

So the D&D incarnation of my werewolf paladin is using the Blood Hunter class for the shapechange, which means she can imbue her unarmed strikes(which the claws count as) with fire. And she has a ring of jumping.

Tonight I combined these things to Rider Kick a yuan-ti into oblivion.

Sometimes it's the small things...

Intent on actually keeping my dinner tonight. But I am recovering nicely from the cold. It's strange though: other than being ridiculously congested and having a vicious cough; I don't feel bad. No weakness, no lethargy. I'd say I'm apathetic and unmotivated... but that's a longer standing problem than a head cold.

Got through most of the gift wrapping this morning. Two things left to do once the gift-ee hugs off somewhere. And neither are hard: a calendar and a record. Same shape and size.

I found out that they took a lot of found footage of Ralphie May's stand up, got it processed and released it for free on Youtube. For those of you that want to see it, its called Ralphe May: Love You, Ralphie.

Watching the final ep of: "May I ask for one Final thing?" The series is a major laugh from start to finish with a will she won't she relationship between the MC and the First prince of the kingdom, yet the MC just loves to pretty much beat up anyone who ticks her off while her brother deals with the headaches that follow his sister's actions!

Just finished enjoying the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra Hollydaze concert. Haywire3 got to be in the children's choir, and he sang his little heart out. Not sure he will do it again, but he did it once and did it well, and that makes this dad proud!

I met an angel today. They're real. That was interesting to learn.

So I'm having yard work problems at one of my houses again. After all the rain we've been having lately, a plant in the front yard had some explosive growth and is now encroaching into the street to the point that cars have to swerve around it. The city hasn't complained yet, but I decided to get on it. Unfortunately I'm still working with nothing but a dull hacksaw. Also reality is glitching again, so more cars than the entire population of Earth drove by, so every time I started cutting I had to stop and get out of the way while another convoy went by. FFS I was trying to get this thing out of their way but they would not get out of my way for more than two seconds at a time. Every time I touch a leaf, here comes another line of 5-7 vehicles. So I was out there for hours and made basically no progress. A couple times I walked into something that grows hooks on its leaves. My left leg is itchy now. But I wasn't going to quit.

I guess this stopped being entertaining to watch after a while, because I was approached by an angel who told me to stop. Not only did he offer to finish the job for me, he refused to accept payment. I tried. He wouldn't take it. Angels have no use for Earthly currency, I guess. Merry Christmas to me.

Making some progress on one of my custom models for Christmas, thou I lack some stuff that not been dispatched from lego yet, so its in a make do state and my gut is saying that they'll never dispatch the order as its been about a month since I placed the pick a brick order and things have changed a bit as I was able to complete one of my models nearly, just some minor changes in regards to power the boxes, going to add a extra and pretty much have three boxes power the model, one for the tree, another for the Lodge and one for the other lights, so its pretty much making me feel happy and I got three days off in arow for Christmas after a couple of weeks of working six day or more, so a well deserved break

I started getting grey hairs in third grade, but they went back to normal at some point.

Lucky you: I started in my second year of high school, and they never fixed themselves. I had more grey hairs than my grandfather, who survived world war 2, until grandma died.
