Since Hasbro is rolling out the pressers for the stuff kicking off 2026, I might as well make a post about the Marvel kids stuff
In addition to continuing the mega-hit Spidey and His Amazing Friends, the Iron Man spin off is still getting product. But we’re all here for the “proper action figure” section
Epic Hero/Epic World of Action is done. We now have ActionVerse. An overhaul of the kids segment across all the Disney brands, ActionVerse is larger, 4.5”, scale with a greater degree of stylization than seen prior. In addition, Hasbro has been eyeing the competition with the inclusion of “weapon racks”, filled with character specific accessories. The whole “brand design” feels very evocative of TMNT…which is probably not a horrible idea given TMNT is damn near the only major media property out there still doing solid business as a TRUE “kids product”.
There’s already the fussing being made by the increasingly meager 3.75/4” Marvel guys, but my perspective is this: Hasbro has been doing 4” kids stuff for a good, what, 4 years on Spider-Man? 3 on Avengers? That‘s more than ample time to garner enough sales information to determine if the scale change was a meaningful impact on product sales. That fact both Marvel AND Star Wars are seeing this overhaul says to me that the 4” scale change didn’t move the needle enough to NOT justify another experiment. And if you’re going to do a style/brand relaunch, on the back of major films from both divisions is a solid way to kick it off.
Also worth noting that the Titan Series is losing its “Hero” moniker, but gaining improved articulation and, IMO, improved proportions.
What I really dig is that this is the first time in YEARS that it feels like somebody at Hasbro is putting forth the effort to make a compelling, affordable and dynamic kids product, instead of simply making something that simply fills a price point. Early on, many fans complained about “soft sculpting”, but with the high res images? The sculpt work, regardless of the stylization, is a BIG step up from Epic. All the characters have a dynamic range of texture Hasbro has really not done for this segment in a LONG time, especially for Marvel stuff. And from a personal perspective, I LOVE the big, Mark Bagley-esque, eyes on the new Spider-Man.
This Presser basically covers the stuff hitting retail NOW. This does NOT cover fall stuff (some of which we’ll probably see at Toy Fair), nor tie in products to Spider-Man: Brand New Day or Avengers Doomsday (I’ll speak about those in a later post).
Hasbro unveils Marvel and Star Wars products, including Spidey, Captain America, and Darth Vader, hitting shelves in early 2026.
