I suppose this explains all the stuff I've been seeing of the actors being seen at Bad Wolf Studios.

It's fun, but don't try to fit it into continuity. Your brain might break.
Regarding the pre-Time War/New Paradigm Daleks showing up, or the Fifth Doctor looking the actor's age? The latter was handwaved in "Time Crash", and while Dalek history is arguably even more of a recursive mess than the main continuity (and arguably it has been for longer), it'd probably be easy to slip something (what with their admittedly crude Time Corridor technology) involving, say, one of the sidelined splinter factions post-Movellan War looking to pick up the pieces from the botched attempt by the (a?) Dalek Supreme to get Davros' help against the virus ravaging the Dalek Empire....

(See, and I referenced a key story from that very season!)

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Big Finish had just such a notion in their development pipeline. They do love stories, after all....
(particularly Sixth and Eighth Doctor ones, but Five's had plenty of looks in as well....)

Regarding Tegan clearly being her post-travels self (complete with the jacket she's worn every time we've seen her these past few years), but traveling again with the 5th Doctor (who is apparently without Peri, but after Turlough has departed).

Big Finish makes it a cottage industry of creating slots where they should be impossible, but I stand by what I said.

Watched the new special with the old cast. It was neat. After that we watched a couple more episodes of the latest season.

Dealt with Lux in Miami, and I loved how they didn't gloss over the racism. Loved the fans and their love for Blink. Belinda has grown on me now.

After that we watched the return to planet Midnight and the weird creature. Not a big fan of the ending of that one.

Oh, indeed. My point is very much "just enjoy this, and don't waste time trying to make it fit."
There are two words that every Whovian should remember when they find themselves working too hard at making the Doctor's trans-media adventures all fit together like a jigsaw puzzle....

Faction. Paradox.

You can go further back than that for 2 words that have caused no small issues for Who continuity: Terry Nation.

I can't disagree, but I deeply dislike that particular sub-section of the franchise.

I don't know who needs to know this, but:

I think there's one on Pluto TV too?

So we are almost caught up. We just got the finale to watch now. Finally found out who misses Flood is. Loved seeing Susan calling the Doctor, and I hope that she shows up again in the finale.

Belinda is a great companion, and I will be sad to see her go.

The kids love the show, so after we get caught up, we are planning to show the kids the whole run from 2005 onwards.

So, there's a fair chance that we could be seeing either a new animated reconstruction for a Patrick Troughton Doctor Who story, or a Blu-Ray set for one of Troughton's three seasons, released in 2026. I think the former is more likely...and I strongly suspect that, if we do get an animated reconstruction, it will be for "The Wheel in Space".

I am well aware that I am making a lot of assumptions here, but allow me to offer some evidence.

Item One - there was very briefly a YouTube channel that had the Doctor Who Collection Escape Room videos available, with the ones for the Fifth, Sixth and Second Doctors unavailable until next year. Said channel has since been renamed and the videos taken down. Now, these videos have previously been released on the Collection box sets and the Blu-Ray release for "The Celestial Toymaker". The Escape Room videos for the Fifth and Sixth Doctors will be released on the upcoming Collection release for Season 21 (Peter Davison's final year and Colin Baker's first story) and the one for the Second Doctor remains unaccounted for.

Item Two - Of Patrick Troughton's three seasons, there are four stories that remain to be rediscovered and/or reconstructed. Two of those stories are from his first year, and one is a William Hartnell story. A third is a fairly unpopular story, "The Space Pirates", while the last one, "The Wheel in Space", has two surviving episodes out of six.

Item Three - "The Wheel in Space" has had some reconstruction efforts made, which are available for viewing on home media. It also has the introduction of one of the Second Doctor's companions, Zoe Heriot, and features one of the more popular and prominent alien foes of the series, the Cybermen.

Item Four - Popular supposition is that we will not see any more Collection sets for Hartnell or Troughton until we either see more episodes recovered (which isn't impossible, and may well be on the horizon), or until more episodes are reconstructed (which is slightly more probable than episodes being recovered).

Now, I could be wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if I was proven wrong. But, the possibility exists. There is hope, and I think that's a good thing.

Just putting this out there.

So we watched the finale.

That lead up episode of the wish world went on way too long. Like it wasted time that they could have used on making Omega an actual problem instead of a Jim Henson puppet. No Susan, Belinda ends up as a single mom to a fully human Poppy, apparently all the timelords are sterile now, and the doctor has regenerated into Rose.

I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed. All that build up to Susan and we get nothing.
