Speaking of Blast Off, anyone else notice that he's attached as an arm backwards in comparison to how his original toy and cartoon model were attached as an arm?

My guess is to avoid having to put a lot of the connector holes on the top of the otherwise smooth shuttle. The underside of most airplane Transformers is a mess anyway, so fewer would notice it, especially in robot mode or when sitting on a shelf as a shuttle, but you can't hide the top.

I think the way the shuttle roof is shaped makes it so that the shuttle would sit on the arm a bit funny and look even less incorporated into a big arm.

Interesting! Is anyone else getting Fall of Cybertron Kickback vibes, from the changed colours? Definitely more insecticon colours. I appears they changed the values of both the purple and the yellow to be cooler & a bit darker. Looks good overall, though the long neck (probably something to do with the play feature) sticks out. Also, the almost non-feet are an eyesore. I do wish the tailpipes had been done in the smoky clear plastic too, but that can always be fixed with an addon kit. Overall, very glad to have this char with knees & elbows!

I really want to like the head-swapping gimmick but in-fiction it’s an even less convincing Punch/Counterpunch while in terms of toys, it’s a little man on Sideways’ neck doing some sort of yoga pose.

The colour value of the show appears halfway between the original toy and this one, though leaning towards the original toy a bit more. The yellow in this screenshot matches the original toy more too, though in other screenshots from other scenes, it seems paler to match the new one more. Frustrating.

That upper body really does look great. CW Bruticus was pretty good, but the many compromises included a generally puny chestplate situation and a very small and crowded waist area. One boon of the frame system is that the proportions overall are nice and managed almost by default, so Bruticus' upper half looks really good. It really is just compromised by the one thing they've changed about the bottom half/boots specifically.

I was wondering why the Ruination concept looked so much better than the Bruticus colors, and I think I figured it out. His knees being the same color as the "boot frames" makes your brain think of them as part of the feet, which makes his legs looks shorter than they really are. If his knees were the same color as the thighs, I think it helps.

I did think that initially, but now that the "thighs" look longer it makes the boots look even shorter. Although it does look better, more... intentional? Because now the pops of color ARE the boot guys.

IDK, maybe other angles would dispel the vibe a bit more.

But for right now this looks right to me. Basically closer to what I think the legbots would be if 1/3 of them weren't shoe tips.

Yeah, proportions are still a bit off, but it feels less like "whoops, we made him too short" and more "this is a stocky, powerhouse sort of guy." But your stretched-out leg guys actually put it where I think it looks the most right.

sticking so hard to the cartoon models continues to be a mistake

I generally agree, but I'm actually a little disappointed Onslaught himself isn't more slavish to the cartoon colors-wise. Ditching the olive green on the sides of his arms is fine, but I really wish his fists and upper legs were still black (or dark grey) and not olive green.

That actually makes me wonder... did we ever find out why a space shuttle was one of Bruticus' limbs? Seems kinda weird given the military theme of the rest of his bits.
