Great. So since I ordered the bundle with the BBTS exclusive I get to wait longer to get mine than people who didn't:mad:.

I'm fine that they couldn't use the original names for some of them but I wish they'd tried to come up with some more creative renames.

-ZacWilliam, those descriptive ones just feel knock-off-y

Mobile Defense Unit isn't terrible. I could see it being called that in-universe, but High Tech Helicopter is awful. Could have gone with something phonetically similar to the old name like "Switchback" or similar in meaning like "Balisong."

Not for long if that pup throws a tantrum.

Luckily, he is a very lazy dog and soon went back to bed where quick brown foxes continued to jump over him.

Some out of box pics:

The only one of these that I had an original of was the Swithcblade, and that one is a "cheap at an antique store but missing a lot of pieces" one, so I don't have much to compare them to in a 1:1 sort of way, but they feel nice. Plastic feels a tiny bit thinner and more fragile then the chunky, toyetic "G1" MASK vehicles that I did grow up with, but I don't feel like these can't be played with or anything. Do love the blast effects and better figure sculpts.

A few things to update here:
The Loyal Subjects was nominated in a number of categories during The Toybook's Pulse of Play Awards-
The Challenger: The Loyal Subjects
Product Launch of the Year: MASK Mobile Defense Unit
Cultural Moment: Jem 40th Anniversary Fashion Doll.
They didn't win, but they still have a chance in Pop Insider (Toybook's sister publication geared to, grrr, "kidults" and collectors), being nominated in the Best Collectible Line (MASK MDU) and Best Retro Revival (My Pet Monster, Popples).

In other Hasbro Revival news, Super7, in the lead up to Toy Fair, has went on social media to announce a slate of new licenses. From Hasbro, Super7 has licenses for Furby, My Little Pony, and Visionaries

Super7 has dropped a bunch of announcements in the lead up to Toy Fair. Preorders should be going up within the next day or so for most of these

Wave 1 of Visionaries (Leoric and Darkstorm)

Wave 3 of Micronauts, composed of Emperor and Time Traveler (yellow or blue flavor)

The Toy Book’s big Toy Fair issue is live, and it has a blurb about MASK wave 2’s Hurricane, specifically, the $84.99 price point. At these prices, it’s probably not a bad idea to do only a wave or two a year…

TLS is at Toy Fair, Toyark got a nice spread of images from the MASK and Jem display. For MASK, they ARE showing off the 40th Anniversary offerings (which I’m still waiting on my Condor…) in hand. Wave 2 is represented by what appear to be Vintage versions of the planned wave. And they are showing off a Glow in the Dark Thunderhawk with translucent Matt Trakker with no other details at the present.
