Hasbro "Transformers Timelines" comic packs

If this is a two-pack in Japan then this is an easy and instant pass for me. Prime needs to have a detachable bull mode, some actual Japanese kanji on him and the paint needs to be darker and with more metallic paint details to give a "Musha Gundam" feel to it. Starscream, IMO, looks NOTHING like a samurai, ninja or any feudal Japanese person.

As it stands they both look like glorified Cyberverse figures.

I'll wait to see what Takara Tomy does with these on their home turf but I'll probably wait for the KO versions much later.

If it helps, fan-waving Starscream's arm cannons are matchlock arquebuses.

They do look like tanegashimas. That's a nice touch.

It may the the only nice touch with that Starscream design, but at least there's something.

That being said I think both of them are very cool... I just don't feel the urge to pull the trigger.
Now... if they do some Medieval Europe themed sets with the same design philosophy... I'll be helpless.

I figured mine would be this Japanese theme, but it being these same four every time is holding it back for me.

I may reevaluate some things if I get that Geese Howard hakama Megatron and an armored horse ninja Bumblebee.

They should do a very cheap box set of all 4 characters... And it's more of those Kreon (historical) Warrior figures.

Swindle actually does the best of them all, since he's the guy everyone's buying supplies from. He eventually buys out their poor starving farmsteads and turns the land into a Casino stretch...
