I keep forgetting that they did a Cthulhu episode. But seriously, how impressive is it that they went up against Cthulhu and no only won without the use of a boat, but they also didn't go crazy looking at him?

That 'going insane' thing would never fly in these modern times.

Evil cultist trying to bring Cthulhu to end the world: Despair Ghostbusters! One look at our lord and your feeble minds will break!

Peter: Buddy, I've seen A.I. Art.

Man, especially those REAL early days, where it was all eyes and teeth mixed into head-shop-black-light-poster psychedelics.

Cool thing about Mondo Egon that falls under the radar is his PKE meter is fully poseable like it is in the show, its not using alternate parts to get different looks!

Well think about it this way. Do you think Hasbro is ever going to pull the trigger on anything this good looking let alone anything besides a reissue of old Kenner RGB molds?
And this is the first time Boogie has gotten any sort of 1st party toy like this. I'm not fond of the price either, but I think it's worth it to have one of these for what was one of my favorite episodes of the series.

So if you missed out on the Plasma Series G1 Ghostbusters, and need them for your Ecto-1, there's a new fourpack coming out.

But I buried the lead here: In a very unexpected turn of events, they're retooling the Haslab Proton Pack into a 1984 pack!

It also apparently has a USB-C power option built in this time!
  • USB-C POWER OPTION: The included USB power option, which removes all timeouts, plays lights and sounds until the user powers off the pack, as well as allows the Neutrona Wand to wake the pack at any time, when the Wand Detect feature is running

Ah, ok, I see it now. Putting it in the right thread, the 1984 wand is $150 at BBTS. They clearly don't expect a lot of tariff issues? The pack is $100 less. Though the wand is in-stock so I guess that wouldn't count. I don't know where the original pack was made, if it was Vietnam or China?

Looks to lack the stand and such from the HasLab, which makes sense, given the lower cost and that this is (now) the mass-market one, and the prior is now the 'special first edition' eBay chase version.

Edit: Maybe I was wrong after all, here's the HasLab:

And here's the new one:

They're actually rather different on the details, an unexpectedly heavy remold at best. Even the cable attachment points aren't quite the same in spots.
