I have always wondered, with the Sam's Club Energon Prowl and Starscream set...

This one:

Did the set include the trading card size Tech Specs figures Deluxe and above included?
I would assume no, being a retail exclusive, but the K-Mart Prowl and Checkpoint came with one (both on one card) so there is precedent.

Based solely on the fact that I want one and don't want to pay e-bay prices: Yes.

Titans have gotten so much better... I think there's an argument that Metroplex and Fort Max could stand to be redone entirely.
Yeah, sorry, I should have worded it better -- I meant in lieu of doing a new mold.

Or rather, should they do a new mold because the T30 one is so geared towards a size class they don't support anymore.

Definitely wouldn't mind a new Metroplex (even though I wouldn't be able to get him) that's a little more G1 accurate. That is, able to actually bend the knees in city mode so he doesn't HAVE to be sprawled out to take up as much room as humanly possible, and bring back the missing guns and accessories.

And Fort Max just needs a better, more interactive city mode. Compared to G1 Fort Max, there was just so little "in," just on, or around.

To say nothing of the fact that now more than ever, the city mode was literally just the battleship mode doing the splits.

Oh, and the fact that you pretty much have to have Cerebros connected at all times, or else everything is going to look off, which kind of hurts the point of being a Headmaster/Titan Master.

I still have the Takara release of T30 Metroplex. As a stand-alone, giant super robot, it works really well, IMO. As a Transformer that needs to worthy of the price it commanded back then (and especially now), nah. I always felt that Fort Max wore it better, but I've got just as many issues with his alt modes, so yeah: new molds please. I would be fine with Metroplex being a little smaller but feel that Fort Max should retain his towering stature.

Am I the only one who what's the Citybots bigger? I like the "Divorce Size Class" 6' tall Metroplex! :ROFLMAO:

I kid, I kid.

I do understand the argument that the titan class bots can bit awfully large for a lot of people's collections. However, as someone who does have some room to display, I really enjoy the Titan class figures. They are fun to play around with in both modes. I love the way the minicon size bots and headmasters can walk around the base modes. I also love how menacing they look when posed with standard Generations size figures.

I do love the large scale of them and the fact that they can be a playset (something that is far too rare in today's toy ecosystem). I like to keep mine surrounded by roughly Legends of Cybertron scale figures to make them seem even larger.

This is too late. MeTv has a show called Collectors Call where people show off their collections. Tonight's episode was Transformers. From what I saw the woman has a rather extensive collection across all lines.

Coming back to the citybot discussion, in theory I am in favor of larger citybots that have playset compatibility with Legend/Legion/Core/Gobots scale figures. In theory.
In reality, though, I don't have the budget or space to collect citybots. But that doesn't mean I don't love a lot of the designs and decos the citybots show off.
I kind of wish Hasbro would revisit the Modulators figures from Earthrise, with figures based on the common citybots, but maybe start with some of the alternate versions? Gigastorm, Grand Maximus, Metrotitan, and Double Punch would have decos that pop, and the more common originals could be Selects-style redecos. As Modulators, they could still function as some type of battle station, and even connect with larger Titans, but be a bit more affordable and space-friendly for some of us.

Looks more like G1 Metroplex than the actual G1 Metroplex Titan class toy.

Honestly, I can go for mini-Titans.

Like, before I got my G1 Fortress Maximus, I was really into that Japanese 3-pack Fort Max, or the knock-off that uses Cerebros' head as Fort Max's.

Of course, when I thought the full size one was hopeless, I was especially into that Kabaya version, since it had all three modes AND did some neat stuff with the accessories, like letting the sword act as sort of a big antenna on one of the towers.

It wasn't quite perfect as a miniaturized replacement, mind you (like the left chest piece not folding out into a platform), but at least it compensated for its shortcomings in some neat ways that you could almost forgive it.
