I've got all of wave 1, except the five pack cause I've never seen it in person.I've been thinking about what happened to this toyline. Then two new sets revealed this week.

Coming to us via Australian site All Interactive we have our first stock images of the new Transformers Swapticons Desert Dunes Mission 5-Pack Official Stock Images. This new 5-pack consists of the following little fun toys: Ramjet Sandstorm (G2) Optimus Prime (desert cammo) Hound Scorponok (G1)...
Has anyone bought any Swapticons? I can only find them on Walmart's website.
They're fun little fidget things I keep on my desk.
So I ran out and picked up this set. (Cheetahs for size.)
I always really wanted the Jungle set, but I don't want to spend $30 (inc. shipping) on Walmart's website. These 2-packs are great at $8 on sale, but I'm not sure about the full $14 each. However, I am very drawn to a lot of the upcoming figures. Dinobots, Shadow Panther and Ravage, Nemesis Prime. (I wasn't even going to buy Optimus Prime until I saw Nemesis is coming.) Blerg, crippling toy addiction!

If you’re in the US, the MSRP for Swapticon packs IS $8.
I’ve been tempted…but not enough. It’s like, I would have gotten the Ape pair, but it’s not worth buying a $25 to get them. I’m enough of a sucker to get the Dinobot set, but I’m not sure it’s something that really clicks with me enough. Seeing them in person…again, I’m amused enough to buy into obscure stuff like Aqelinq, maybe Clench, but buying into the multipacks is a bit beyond my willingness to support.
That said…I won’t knock the team for their character deep dives, though. Revealed a few days ago was a new 5 pack, the Desert Dunes Mission, featuring pre-yellowed Ramjet, Decepticon (G2) Sandstorm, trailer truck Hound, G1 Scorponok (front end), and desert camo Optimus Prime.
I will say, I love seeing G2 Sandstorm get a nod outside of the collecting group, and FWIW, I would be interested to see what that “deco concept” of desert camo Optimus Prime might look like on a traditional figure.

Walmart has the "original" price as $13.99 for the 2-packs. I sure hope all the new ones are $8.00!

Presumably Shadow Panther and Ravage use the Cheetor/Tigatron molds. It'll be funny to see Ravage with a cat-head-head and cat-head-chest.
Edit: These repaints really strengthen the vibe connections between Swapticons and Bot Shots. There's already three colors for the Optimus and Ultra Magnus molds.
imagine telling someone 10 years ago that in 2025 we'd have a new clench figure but it's just part of some spin-off gimmick line lol
That’s because of 3rd party seller shenanigans. There’s a 3rd Party seller trying to sell the set for $15…despite Walmart stores having the set for $8
Also, anyone figure out who the chick is? With so many getting repaints, I wonder if we got another, unleaked, set featuring Shadow Striker and…maybe Clobber? Repaints of BB and Hot Rod. Or maybe Hasbro just made Shadow Panther into a female character?
When I click on the seller information on that link, it tells me it's shipped and sold through "Pro Sellers" so I'm going to assume that's aftermarket prices rather than MSRP.
Looks like they're out of stock online for some reason, which is why. Not sure WHY though, I see tons of them in store.

It's an odd head design, with Seeker vents on the sides of the helmet but an uncharacteristic Prime-style crest. Maybe the latter is due to the design of the head connection?
Appears to be paired with Starscream, so that seems to suggest a female Seeker.
Edit: looked around and Legacy United Slipstream has a red forehead crest thing too. (I remember very little about the actual head sculpt because I replaced it with the Cyberverse Deluxe Starscream head at the earliest opportunity.)

I'd love for someone (I'd say Toyhax, but they're very occupied making cel-shaded everything) to make alternate face stickers for these with a maybe 65% less obnoxious non-"Dreamworks face parody" art style.

Wouldn't that mean it's Slipstream?
Cyberverse and Earthspark both have a history of “re-gendering” previously male seekers. For all we know (until images crop up), Hasbro opted to swap out a classical Thundercracker in favor of a female Slipstream, or Skywarp or something.
A quick wiki dive later, and the Cyberverse female Nova Storm’s colors are VERY similar to the above art so…
I actually had initially typed Slipstream and happily remembered one of the few things I knew about Cyberverse.
Either would be nice to see.
Let’s be honest, if they opted to even make a Seeker a female? Raw marketability basically got chucked out the window. ANY of the classic male seekers (plus, maybe, Sunstorm or Acid Storm) are vastly more marketable than any female seeker.
“Who’s more marketable” is undefinable for a small toyline that includes Clench, G2 Sandstorm, Botcon Ape-Linq, and Shadow Panther. There don’t seem to be any limits regarding obscurity.

It's a gimmick line. I don't think they're thinking much about reinventing characters. Someone decided to use a female Seeker for this. They probably checked to see who they had, saw Slipstream, and that's that.
