Depressingly, it probably shows what non-white British people have to do (or feel that they have to do) in order to be accepted as senior politicians in this country. A policy that a decade ago would merely be the brain-fart of the BNP, UKIP or any other fringe far-right party.And all this from a party lead by a guy who would have fallen victim to the "britain for the british" mentality less than a generation ago.
