I'm glad after a stint of barely different from the Universe counterparts, these two Henkei figures have more differences than most of the latest group (like Lambor, Octane, and Prowl - despite Prowl's retooling).
I really like Galvatron's purple and the replacement of the orange with black. Not diggint the tank as much as the US version, but the robot is much improved.
Ironhide has a yellow stripe like others had hoped for. The added dark gray is nice, and the chrome is well suited on him. The window paint seems to match closer on this figure.

This is pretty depressing IMO. While I love my American Galvy and don't care at all about this japanese version ironhide is mixed results and ultimately a no buy with me. They got the face right, the chrome use is nice but the rims aren't painted and that yellow stripe, while G1 akur8, is total suck on a red SUV. Since I already have to paint the rims I might as well go the full nine and paint the face and windows on the US version and save myself half the money on this.

Great! Ironhide isn't perfect, but he seems to improve on a lot of the issues I have with the American version's paint deco. Was hoping for painted wheels, but I guess I can live without them, and the chrome is reasonable on him. Galvatron, not so much. The robot mode could be more G1 accurate with the red knees, and they really killed the tank mode.
Ironhide may be the first time ever that I skip a Hasbro version to just get an import. Wow, I knew the dark gray on Ironhide was new, but I didn't realize all of the other improvements to make him more G1 cartoon. This is baring the blue face we've seen him with lately (which I hope the American version doesn't have).

Yeah, this Ironhide breaks up the red in robot mode much more nicely, with the gray shoulders. Can't say I'm a fan of using up paint applications to chrome over the clear headlights and tail lights though, when they could have painted the wheels instead. The silver detailing around the bottom of the vehicle mode is probably the one thing I like better on the Hasbro version.

Ironhide does indeed look more detailed. I may buy. Galvatron looks ok, but not enough to import. His legs are just sooo lacking in solidity.

I really like the new purple and gray on Galvatron. Getting rid of that orange for black is an improvement too, as that orange was a bit much.

Wow, what absolutely utter failure on TakaraTomy's part. I'm absolutely astounded they kept the gray on Galvatron, and the chrome adds absolutely nothing as usual.

Ironhide looks really nice. not sure if hes worth double the cost though, both versions have their perks.
