Three things:

1- The more I look at Quintus Prime, the more I'm sure that I'm going to put him on my Quintesson shelf as some previously-unseen form of Quint. Cybervese, One, and now this have really let me expand my Quintesson ranks.

2- I need people to convince me that I don't need this new Bruticus. I'm not currently planning on replacing any of my CW gestalts, but damn is Hasbro making it difficult. All the Combaticons are looking amazing so far.

3- Batman was shocked to find himself transmuted into Amalgomous Prime's crotch

I fell in love with the awful rainbow photo artifact picture that first leaked of Amalgamous so the plain, boring silver one is a source of constant disappointment.

wonko the sane?

Look, batman has done almagamated characters before, and he quite clearly will do them again.

And he'll only get closer to source when they do the inevitable black recolour.

After seeing most of the remaining Primes, I've become convinced that the 13 should have all been Voyager scale at minimum. The existing Deluxe, and even Voyager figures I feel could have used a little more budget (though Micronus still is very neat looking).

Speaking of the primes:

Solus, alchemist, vector, megatronus, prima, onyx, micronus, nova, alpha trion, almagamus, quintus... That's 11; star convoy is 12... who am I missing?

Nova's not a prime?

jive... he was expensive.
He's... not a Thirteen Prime.

*sigh* This, among other reasons, is why they shouldn't have made the Thirteen all be Primes, since now we have to specify which Primes are and aren't of the Thirteen. It was so much simpler back when "Prime" meant "the one chosen by the Matrix to be Autobot leader". They boasted multiple times that TF: Prime's main thing was going to be explaining and exploring "What it means to be a Prime"... Never happened.

Nova's not a prime?
He is, just usually not one of the Thirteen. He's usually depicted as one of Optimus' predecessors as Matrix bearer. IDW1 established him as the first Prime post the fall of the Thirteen.

Though he was made the Thirteenth in Earth Wars, because presumably they wanted to use someone in that slot who wasn't Optimus.

*sigh* This, among other reasons, is why they shouldn't have made the Thirteen all be Primes, since now we have to specify which Primes are and aren't of the Thirteen.
Made worse because sometimes the non-Thirteen Primes are part of the Thirteen!

Alright, so nova is out (and since we were talking about the thirteen, yes: he's a prime, just not a Prime. No, I was not aware of that, but... I don't often buy leader class (WAY too expensive.) so... I'll forgive myself for the mistake.) nexus is in... and we're still short 1? Oh, no we're not; mollusk said liego maximo.

Alright, so:

  • Almalgamus
  • Alpha Trion
  • Solus
  • Vector
  • Alchemist
  • Megatronus
  • Nexus
  • Liego Maximo
  • Onyx
  • Micronus
  • Star Convoy
  • Quintus
  • Prima
Alright! We got thirteen. It also means there's only two more I can get and at least I now know what their names are. I cannot afford, nor have the room for another titan. If I DID, I still wouldn't, because I would have spent that money and filled that space with trypticon.

And all this because I found it surprisingly hard to find a list of JUST the 13 primes toys. I was either getting the entire AOTP run divided by size or individual wiki pages for the characters which are interesting but not useful to me right now.
