Ah. It's the well of information Sabrblade mentioned that I didn't know was somehow important.
There's even more on the back of that insert.

The bike design is very cool, but what's really pleasantly scratching the right spots in my brain is the entire aesthetic of the old-magazine ad. I readily admit it's nostalgia, but there's something pleasant about a straightforward layout and a lengthy blurb that tries to be informative and persuasive. The warm colors (even if the white balance ends up being a bit off) and vignetting are also nice touches.

Anyway, the bike... It's really nice, like a Cybertron Ransack with more curves and generally softer angles. Whether as Afterburner or someone else (Override?) this would be a neat Transformer.

Except one of them came terribly overdressed for the party.

Edit: I dressed mine up a bit. I had added the radar dish before to sub for the 'sight', but I found a few old rubber hoses and 5mm posts and gears from an old Radio Shack Zoids-like building set from 30 or so years ago. I figure if the rubber has been stable THAT long, I could get some use out of it. The hard plastic connector is a bit yellowed, I may paint it. The end of the hose fit right over the old one perfectly...

The color isn't right but I mainly wanted to take some of the tension off that small connector. And maybe, as I don't have Onslaught yet, so I'm not sure, have the 'hose' connect into the 5mm port that is on top of the turret that winds up on the back of Bruticus so it looks like a giant power supply for the arm cannon. Not sure, we'll see. I do have more hoses and connectors of the same sort, I could make a longer extension cord...

Well, went ahead and got these, and now the clock is reset on a possible new ticking time bomb, or (now) a total nothingburger.

(The smokestacks are in accessory storage.)

There's still just enough vehicle mode clearance, but the tires are noticeably less thick. They fit pretty well though.

That's it for now until a match for Sandstorm's can be identified. Now I need to see what the parakeet is melting in which accessory case...

Wild King uses a number of "proprietary" ports, including a single 5mm peg/hole with an extra bit sticking out. This makes it impossible for most other TFs to hold the weapons (but not impossible for regular 5mm weapons to fit into the proprietary ports). However, if we cut and file away the additional part, they can be used by other TFs/regular 5mm ports.

(Left: Extra "ridge" on yellow 5mm port. Right: Ridge had been removed from 5mm port.)

"Combined" (ahem) with Combiner Wars feet and hands (for example), it's then possible to turn the normally static combiner arms and give them poseable elbows and actual hands (and possibly feet, but I haven't tried this yet).
