There is still some positive news about Doom despite Microsoft's gutting of id software. Earlier this year, Blaze Entertainment announced that Doom would be coming to the Evercade platform, and they just dropped a trailer. Including a tease of a special edition of the Evercade Nexus in Doom stylings with bunch of swag.
Limited to just 3,000 units worldwide, this collector’s edition features an exclusive DOOM-themed Evercade Nexus console, exclusive packaging, a special big-box version of The DOOM Collection cartridge, a DOOM hard shell carry case, DOOM comic, commemorative keyring, double-sided poster, and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
The comic in question is a reprint of the gloriously awful 90s comic, which gave us many glorious Doom memes (RIP AND TEAR)

Limited to just 3000 units, expect the limited edition to sell out quick. Especially at a downright affordable $250. If not interested in all the DOOM stuff, they also have a Nexus bundle with Banjo Kazooie for $200 (and Best Buy is throwing in a copy of Data East Arcade Collection 2 for preorders).
Evercade's Doom cart is apparently a bespoke port (not an emulation job like most of the Duke Nukem offerings), the cart will include both Doom and Doom 2, plus SIX expansions (including Sigil 1 and 2), plus a Deathmatch pack. The game IS multiplayer, with up to 4 player splitscreen deathmatch using the Evercade VS-R (the console Evercade which has dual cartridge slots). And it's a nifty red cart (evoking my memories of the SNES version and its red cart). If they got Doom running, I wouldn't be surprised if Hexen/Heretic is coming next year.
