Also, I finally got the last part I needed to finish a custom.
See McFarlane originally made a figure based off of
Batman from The Three Jokers. There was a lot to like! The overall design recalled Batman the Animated Series in a more gruff comic book-y aesthetic, but there were enough issues that kept it from really working for me. First, the tights were grey. I don't mind a Batman sans contrasting tights, but I felt they were needed for this specific look. And the Keaton-esque belt wasn't right. Secondly, his head sculpt did nothing for me. Too bunched and scowly.
The head was the first thing that I could fix.
The Batman Hush figure is built from the same base as the Three Jokers Batman so his much better head sculpt is compatible. The last bit, the bit that came in today, was the trunks/belt piece from
the Batman vs Spawn two pack Batman. This is the one belt/trunks piece compatible with this Batman base body that has the colours I needed for this. And so...
It finally feels like that spruced up BTAS design I was after.
Here he is with the black and grey Knightfall Batman figure who has the same general design, just on the smaller McFarlane Batman mould.
I also think it goes great with McFarlane's Thomas Wayne Batman figure, stylistically.
And here we go with all of my (Bruce Wayne) Batmen...
