AI don't trust techbros

Okay, so... I admit I'm known for my fixed ideas about AI and what we might expect from it, but I had to pass this along from my Tube of You recommendations.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been inundated with videos made using Google's Veo3, usually something comedic along the lines of "Imperial stormtrooper records his day, nothing goes right" or "A couple hiking comes across a Sasquatch, which has a camera and is recording them."

But when one of these 3D moviemakers gets concerned about the verisimilitude that is possible, then it's time for a PSA....

Constantly amazed that Musk's AI, despite his intentions and meddling, keeps being more rational and left leaning than he is.

Grok is trained on stuff people have posted on Twitter. And prior to Musk turning it into a Nazi hellhole, Twitter had a decent number of sane people who said very uncomplimentary but correct things about MTG. I assume the "fix" is going to be only training Grok on posts from within the last 3 or 4 years.

Musk has put out a statement that he is going to be "fixing" Grok saying there's "too much junk" right now.
So I assume he's finally tired of his red headed stepchild calling him out.

Watch his efforts to rein in Grok fail just as hard.

I nearly clicked off when I caught them talking up Bitcoin as something that might hypothetically have had some good reason to exist at some point, but I trudged through anyway and got to this part:
I glimpsed someone on Twitter a few days ago, also scoffing at the idea that anyone would decide not to use the Whatever machine. I can’t remember exactly what they said, but it was something like: “I created a whole album, complete with album art, in 3.5 hours. Why wouldn’t I use the make it easier machine?”

This is kind of darkly fascinating to me, because it gives rise to such an obvious question: if anyone can do that, then why listen to your music? It takes a significant chunk of 3.5 hours just to listen to an album, so how much manual work was even done here? Apparently I can just go generate an endless stream of stuff of the same quality! Why would I want your particular brand of Whatever?
Hey, isn't this pretty much exactly what I said a few months ago?
