I do wonder if the stand pushed it too far past Deluxe budget and forced it into Voyager. But I'm a sucker for weird things like this, and the line is probably exactly 2 figures long, so I can justify it to myself.
Front paged!
I like it. Very interested to see the Megatron, too. I'm definitely down for one of each.
I doubt the line will extend past these two, but I would definitely buy more if they kept going. I could see people wanting Primal/Maximal vs. Megatron/Predacon or G2 symbols (though that...
Forum member Lord GigaIce has posted an image showing our first look at Optimus Prime from the new Transformers Icons limited line. The picture shows Optimus in both robot mode and Autobot Symbol mode that he can convert to in 25 steps.
The image was apprently posted by In Demand Toys on...
I feel you. No alergies, but I'm on week 3 of a respiratory type flu and I'm considering getting my whole lung / sinus assembly replaced with gills or something. Has to be better than this.
I could see it being dependent on HOW dead the Transformer is. If the body is functional but the mind is gone / unconscious, then it can be operated by whatever secondary controls are available, which probably varies from bot-to-bot. If the body itself is dead, then it's no different than any...
I'm in a weird place with Wheelie. I haven't ordered him or anything, and I wasn't planning to because I have plenty of good Wheelies now, but they really did do a good job capturing the look of the G1 toy. I have distinct memories of having and playing with the original toy as a kid, but I...
I've been trying to avoid re-buying all the minibots as I'm pretty well satisfied with most of the Basic-sized guys from Titans Return And Friends, but the toy-based Retro series has been too powerful to resist on at least a few occasions so far.
I think that the problem began when they decided that the toys needed to be able to fully transform without any parts coming off. Earlier "-izers" were full on parts-formers and I DID see some people complain about that. The idea of being "real" transformers while still having mix-and-match...
Carnivac was always a favorite of mine as a kid, so I was understandably very excited for him to get a new figure. As much as I really do love the inner robot look, I was missing his organic shell (a wolf wearing a leather jacket and spiked shoulder pads struck me as the coolest thing that ever...
That is definitely possible! I didn't do much in the way of research on the subject, basically just ran across them on Aliexpress (which I am just now starting to use).
In his defense, had I made a point of the fact that it was a ROBOT guy made out of ROBOT dinosaurs, then there's no question as to the statement's validity. Buy from a purely biological standpoint, most guys are not, in fact, made out of dinosaurs.
This is another one that doesn't really fall into Knock-Off TRANSFORMERS territory, but wasn't sure where else to put it. It's modern, so it doesn't really belong in the "vintage other robot" thread.
It's an undersized KO of Miniforce Dino Emperor. Roughly 2/3 or so of the original size. I'm...
A tiny bit more articulation would really have made the toys easily integrate into main-line collections. I don't think it would have hurt their kid-friendlyness any, either.
