They managed to take a stock sitcom plot ("Mother keeps trying to fix her son up with a wife") and made it VERY Star Trek. I mean, this is a universe with Lwaxana Troi, so they have to step up their game to actually make a Meddling Mom part of a comedy show. ---Dave
