    AI don't trust techbros

They do if they're designed to actually work. Problem I've seen with them is that they're always designed to appease paranoid execs who are convinced people are going to find a way to cheat them and get free stuff, so if you don't run the barcode past the scanner just right it immediately locks...

What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

Good lord. Y'all know that formula for how much of an age gap there can be before it becomes creepy? Anyone else feel like that ought to be adopted into the age-of-consent laws? Without a grandfather clause or statute of limitations.

Nobody has the intention to invade Ukraine

Honestly as long as he's not outright joining the war on Putin's side, that's more than I ever dared hope for.

    Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

It's an old building. Sometimes if you want renovations to be done right, you gotta scrap a whole wing and start over. If anything, I think it's a shame it's usually too expensive to be worth it. But let's face it, this is Trump we're talking about; there's no way that's what's going on here...

You have more faith than I do in information's ability to weather both the rise of garbage-generating AI and a mass book burning by the far right. A mandate to do what? Officially denounce him or lose their right to vote, like Benjamin Wade was calling for at the end of the Civil War?

    Florida, Florida, Florida

The funniest thing is that this is a pledge to do things that most Republicans would not approve of. They're already pissing on the Constitution left and right, they're the opposite of nonpartisan by definition, and they're not big fans of critical thinking or professional ethics. To the point...

Not even gun owners generally; specifically people belonging to gun rights organizations traditionally affiliated with Republicans. I'd wager that most left-wing gun owners aren't going to be on the list.

Conspiracy lunatic thread - people who believe in absurd nonsense are dangerous

The question is probably less "can he" and more "would he dare to." Because you're less likely to be destroyed in the court of public opinion if you don't admit to believing any specific conspiracy theories that are doing measurable harm to countless people, but vagueposting about it can still...

    Sonic The Hedgehog

I played Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed back in the day and that was the first kart racer I ever owned or played more than a few sessions of. I feel like the genre kind of peaked with that game, and not just because you could play as Wreck-It Ralph in it. I know you have water skimming...

The US Supreme Court and its decisions

I thought the point of expanding the court was to stack it with more people who would vote in our favor, not to split the workload up. Being able to pick and choose which justices hear which cases would introduce a whole new set of problems.
