I've still not gotten around to transforming Skyquake yet, so I will try both modes to see which I like better. Very neat though.

The problem I have is I already own the Hasbro version of all the Predacons, but own zero of the Maximals. If I want to do these Takara 2-packs, I'm going to have duplicates of all my Preds.

I really don't see any difference in this release of Dirge and the Earthrise release. Am I missing something or is he pretty much the same?

This is exactly why I've always considered Galvatron the leader of the Decepticons in my Gizmo-verse. Megatron was always so boring to me, so when I was 13 years old and went to see TF:TM in the theater, and they killed off Megatron and made him Galvatron, it was one of the greatest cinema...

Keep in mind that Galvatron wasn't meant to be an upgraded Megatron in this version, he was supposed to be a "City Commander" and be equivalent to Ultra Magnus for the Autobots. It wasn't until the Movie that they decided to use him as an upgraded Megatron.

Good question. Hasbro doesn't feel that Galvatron has the same name recognition as Megatron.

Hasbro has said many times that they'll keep pushing out Megatron and Optimus because people know who those characters are. So, that being said, it is a marketing ploy based off of name recognition. They know they can market the names Megatron and Optimus Prime for ever and ever.

Yep, I'm grabbing this 2 pack. This is also making me second guess my decision to skip the Alpha Trion/Orion 2 pack. I might go back and snag that now. I knew I should have grabbed it during the warehouse sale.
