It's close enough to the price increase that the goodwill boost from dropping prices back down and getting people buying again might outweigh the additional revenue brought in from the higher prices. Someone at Hasbro would have to make that case though.

This character is apparently based on the as-yet unaired Season 5. First part airs later this month, so that will hopefully make things more clear.
