There was no improving on the mini masterpiece Fixit we already got.

It was shocking how few characters die in the Armada comic. The cartoon was more brutal.

The originals are so simple that it should be doable to integrate the combiner kibble somewhere. No I will not give up on that crusade. These guys don't scramble to begin with. They only need to turn into one combiner part well.

Now I think we'd be annoyed by G1 dudes showing up in an Armada comic at all.

This is the trouble you run into when fiction has combiners magically grow way too big relative to the components.

At some point it's no longer possible to jump the shark. This is exactly where the series should go.

We've come a long way since then. And early G1 has become a lot more overbearing since then.

Combiner Wars is bigger than I'd want. Core class is perfect for these guys. Bombburst has made me a believer in Core class Pretenders.
