I'll probably buy this set, mostly for the Rock Lord and cassette. I do like this Thundertron's hook hand and the fact that he has a new head, but I wish his color scheme was different so that he would be useable as a new character in addition to the Thundertron I have.
I know in the movie it's an actual Quintesson, but importing the figure into a G1-adjacent collection, I can see headcanoning it as one of their creations, similar to the Sharkticons or Transorganics. Like the Quintessons built themselves a fleet of biomechanical warships that also had robot modes.
I wasn't a comic reader (well, buyer I guess. I had a medium stack of my dad's old silver age comics that I would read repeatedly) as a kid, so I never even knew that there WERE Transformers comics until I got back into the brand as a young adult.
